Cool build for sure but please buy and install an inexpensive VFD for the power source (to create the third phase) instead of using capacitors for the third phase. You'll gain a lot of performance out of that motor (and the action of the brushes) if you install a VFD. You can buy one for around $100 US A capacitor driven third phase is very weak and very inefficient. Capacitor driven phases means the motor output is less than 2/3rd of the rated horsepower at best.

Is it just me ore is the angle grinder running the opposite direction??😅

Suggestion: I would not recommend using a motor with an open housing for a grinder. Any openings in the motor housing are prone to ingress, such as swarf and grinding dust. Being conductive, this can short out the motor, as the openings on motors of this type are typically on the brush/commutator end. Metal dust or swarf can also migrate to the magnets, bridging the gap between the rotor and magnets causing both mechanical and electrical issues. Also, brush motors like this generate a lot of electrical noise due to the brushes arcing on the commutators. To solve this, add some .1uF capacitors from the positive and negative terminals to the housing of the motor and possibly one more bridging between terminals.

I'm still trying to figure out why you were cutting an excentric with the cutoff tool at 6:30.

Use some aluminium or brass shims for clamping your work piece without damaging your nicely machined surfaces. And, important, don't retract a tap with the spindle in reverse and you holding the tap wrench. One shutter of your hand or a chip that gets jammed and you'll hurt yourself when the machine twists your arm into the steel parts of it.. Use the tail stock or just, most safe, turn it out by hand, Thank you! Best! Job (did you calculate your speeds and feeds? It all seams quite fast. By doing so cutters get dull fast too.)

I like this but instead of rollers, make a sled that travels back and forth with a quick clamp to hold the material and put a strong spring on the motor adjustment to give it a little give.

Use a converter 230V -->400V with variable speed. Ok, it ist about 150 Euro, but works fine and you can set the speed. And you have 1/3 more power and torque. Change from brushes to sandpaper and now its a wunderful sharpener. Put on leather and polishing paste and you can make the best edge on knifes and tools. And so on, and so on. Trust me, i build this :-)

Complimenti!!

couple of things, your lathe tailstock is slightly off. you can tell when you go to drill and it pulls a drill bit or center drill slightly over to the center. how come you didn;t use softjaw covers to protect the surfaces? they are marded from the lathe jaws.
