Man I love those kidfriendly playfeatures. Especially a nice touch to include the Lego promotional material with it, the grin on my face that went up there with the first one did not leave for the rest of the video, I love your sense of humor. That aside, I think technically this is a very well designed castle as well. The walls are thick and bulky, but they have enough detail, the defensive features are well designed and the timber-style parts of the keep break the colors up a bit to keep it interesting. I also think you did a great job with the rock work, I tend not to put too much effort in the landscaping myself, focusing more on the greenery and above ground details, but this looks a lot better than I'm used to from other moc designers. Great use of trees and muted colors to finish the whole thing off. Well done Kommander Karen, thanks for another amazing video. (where you used up a ton of your parts again)

@@KommanderKaren You could build something with water, maybe a harbor fort or just a very well defended moat.

@@KommanderKaren My comment doesn't show up, but It was about making something water based, like a harbor fort or some form of moat defended building.

Bloody brutal for the two funny as hell though lol love this set and this is a really great idea I'd say buy more masonry bricks to complete the keep along with completing the back of the castle you've made an a amazing set

That fat style of walls that are in the keep use up a ton of bricks. Let's just say I speak from experience, as I had to fully dismantle 2 baseplate lengths of them to be able to finish the castle I was building. There's easily a thousand grey bricks in a 12 brick high double wall and I filled up the insides with even more (banged up) old bricks for structural strength.

I think the motte style keep actually adds a lot to the build as apposed to a standard stone castle.

I really cheer for the functions / play features in you set!! Awesome job. It's a shame that so many even commercial sets have so few of them in my opinion.

@knauzaa thank you! I don't think lego will ever let us burn witches though
@pinobluevogel64583 ай бұрын
This is something with all the 'adult' sets being released, that we don't get very often anymore. I think that is wrong, even adults love play features. Also, I know adult Lego enthusiasts that let their kids play with their sets too, so it is never a real waste to include them. While the whole idea of torture chambers and burning witches goes way out of line for Lego themselves, I'm not entirely sure young children will get the full meaning behind them and will just happily play with them regardless. (as they should)
