Love the slick production values. I've been wanting a Fractal Terra for a future downsizing project and videos like these make it such an exciting prospect. If you're looking to make more videos like these then you've got my sub!

Nice build. I have a Terra since launch and I am really happy with it. I am running a 12600k cooled with a Big Shuriken 3 and 4070 Ti, performance and thermals are both very good. Thank you for getting the fan orientation right in sandwich cases, most builds I have seen want to run the bottom fan as intake.
@jonnyfontane360711 ай бұрын
would you say the shuriken is wwaaaayyy better than the noctua used here ?
@richardfarmer657011 ай бұрын
Probably at least 10C better. If you can fit a BS3 you can also fit a Thermalright AXP120-X67 or the Deepcool AN600 both of which are even better than the BS3.@@jonnyfontane3607

Went with similar. Ryzen 7700 and 4070ti with the Noctua LH65. Works really well as a travel pc and easy to open the wings to help with heat.

idk if a 7900xt is the best bang for buck when it comes to 1440p. i would recommend a 4060ti or 4070 if you want current gen, or a 3070 or 3080 for last gen. definitely save some money. you could even do 6800 or 6800xt and get a good 1440p experience for half the price.

nice pc, but there is a error RX7900XT can draw up to just over 300W, so using only one power cable is not recommended, maximum safe transfer with one cable is up to 150W + 75W from the PCIe slot, so for GPU drawing more than 225W, it is recommended to use two power cable

same sweet spot specs too on my build list + Proart, + cpu contact frame. How you finding the temps ?
@big_pepsi2696 Жыл бұрын
@@BluebirdR So i used the contact frame myself, and with a healthy undervolt temps are great! I got CyberPunk maxed RT on max, avg around 70-75° C 👌

2:16 While this may be less of a problem with i3 or i5 systems, I would *never* use DDR4 RAM on i7 or i9 systems; you'll bottleneck the systems. Also, if you can afford those CPUs, you can almost certainly afford DDR5 RAM. That being said, it seems like starting with Intel 15th gen (Meteor Lake), DDR5 RAM will be required. (It's a new socket after all, unlike with AMD's AM5 being supported until and including 2025 at the minimum.)

Hey I'm having trouble finding the correct thermal contact frame that you mentioned in the video and I can't see a link in the description. Any links would be appreciated :)
@Archdjinn3 ай бұрын
How well does that cooler do for the CPU? I have a similar build, just a different gpu and the cpu seems to always be around 85-90 in games like cyberpunk and get up to 100 running stress tests

Good build, I been building itx form factor for like 3 years now and not going back to normal size, but I would recommend to stick to nvidia gpus because of the temps and power consumption.

I’m planning to use this mobo and case with a 67mm cooler. Two questions: does the cpu contact frame increase the height of the cpu cooler (will i have less room for the gpu)? And which contact frame is in the video (there are no links in the bio and you didn’t specify the name, I’m seeing two options on amazon by thermalright both for lga1700, one says intel 12th gen the ogher says lga 1700 and is more expensive)

Hex Specter. I´ve got a most similar build. I also have the noctua cooler but with an i5 14600kf + contact frame. I´ve got 80-90 degrees Celsius in game. Is there anything wrong with my thermals? is it maybe the asus mainboard of mine which uses more power to my CPU?

Do you think a Noctua NH-L9x65 and a Zotac NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4080 Super Trinity White Edition will fit in to the Terra?

Great video. Important question: When you moved the spine all the way across so the GPU was flush against the side panel, how much added space did you gain on the CPU side (in millimeters)?

@akin2420029 ай бұрын
Nice exterior looks for the case, but too expensive ($1,800) for the average person wanting 1440p display resolution gaming. This is excluding the cost of the monitor, keyboard, mouse, headset, web camera, and gaming chair. Replace the RX 7900XT with Nvidia RTX 4060 GPU to get a better value for 1440p gaming. Only $300 for that GPU. Thus, saving $600 that could go to other needs.
