We have an old man that tells me when it's bedtime. He's 10 now and has a spot on my body pillow that he goes to lay on to make biscuits and get pets while I fall asleep. I also used to have a Maine Coon that LIVED for nap time. She would chase after me if she saw me go into the bedroom and would dig in the blankets so she could burrow under them and tuck herself under my arm. lol

I actually never comment on KZbin videos, but something about this house makes it so comfortable. I imagine being a guest and stay in the basement where I know I would feel so safe. Those balconies add so much light and overall a house is like a breath of fresh air. In general, I have found your channel like a year and a half ago and I love to be in community for so long. I adore to build but when I’m in university my laptop doesn’t have enough power to handle the sims, so your videos helps me to stay updated and learn some building tricks from time to time. I don’t know if someone has already commented this idea, but if you would like to, I think it would be so funny to have the next Heir be named Cow Bell and you could have the Heir of the Horse be the companion of Cow Bella also like they where taking on their parents horse vibes and build a Horse Ranch for next Gen home and have a large lot and be able to have a multi generation lot. You could also tie in Cottage Living ofc, if you would like, with the Cow Shed and all. Just Food for Thought!😁

23:35 I'm from eastern Europe and basements were for me one of the scariest things ever. Our basements have dirt for floor, some flickering lights, shelves with alcohol and preserves and furnaces so you can heat the whole house. my father used to tell me when i was a kid that if i did something really bad he would lock me in the basement

Was that kind of basement just universal thing in eastern Europe? Because I swear my mum's basement still looks like this, it was also a space for coal and wood when she had coal furnace. And I always despised walking there because a) the stairs are like 50 years old and were destroyed since I remember, I'm 28, I also fell from them so many times b) I only went there when I had to make fire in the furnace or to cut wood so it wasn't anything nice. Ok, maybe having pickles and jams anytime was nice. However our cat loved it.

Naming Sims weird or chaotic things is always so fun. I have a Sims Family where the mom, Stella, married Caleb Vatore, and they have 6 kids, Skylar, Celeste, Sirius, Cosmo, Selene, and Cassandra. All sky/space/star themed names that either start with C or S. Then, in my own Nightmare Legacy Challenge (short lifespan, plus not allowed to have "real jobs", PLUS lot challenges), all the heirs have had variations of the same name (The Founder's name was Angelica, then her daughter Angelina, then her son Angelo who died of old age at the exact same time as his twin brother, then his daughter Angel, her daughter Angela, and her daughter Angie. Next I think Angelus for a boy, or Evangeline for a girl). I have my 100 Baby Challenge save where every baby is named a random word alphabetically, for example, I had a son named Harbor.

In real life there are wall lights that are made to look like windows, but are just lights. They're made specifically with basements in mind, for the most part. I'm begging EA to please add one of these to the base game so Kayla can use that instead of real windows. With the basement changing the terrain above it, you can lower the basement floor once with the middle arrow on the room selection. This prevents the terrain problems. Hope it helps x

u can avoid basement clipping by dragging the basement "foundation " lvl down, it does it seperetly so u can have any shape of a basement while having foundation. it dos have a bit of a visual glitch but in this house specifically it would be hidden by that wall so wouldn't be much of a problem

I have a loft bed with space underneath that the one time I had a friend sleepover, we put sleeping bags and blankets and pillows, which made something like a nest and that's where they slept. The only other time a friend slept over for me is when we we going to West Edmonton Mall and were leaving early. I was recovering from surgery and was sleeping on the downstairs pullout bed (honestly, it was how Kayla described it as we have a couch that pulls out into a double(?) bed with the TV down there too; we call it the family room and it was where we put toys/random things we use often but doesn't really fit elsewhere) as I couldn't climb the ladder to my bed so that friend slept in my bed instead😂
