BTW, just got a Rogue RR100 Rocketeer for $79 at Musicians Friend. Other than tapping down a couple of high frets and intonating two strings, it is a really nice guitar. Can't be beat for the money. Tuners are also very decent high ratio with no slop. Pickups are really smooth sounding.

I went with the purple body and a $59 black satin URSKOG neck from Amazon. All other parts also came from Amazon including a wild looking black and white double H pickguard from XIYANGJUAN. All black hardware and F-hole style tuners with 10mm bushings from Dopro. Other than minor side shimming of the neck to get a tight fit, the build was no problem. The pickups are also pretty awesome.

Gorgeous neck! When I fit pick guard I just simply use the round bit on my Dremel load it with sand paper and its takes seconds!

I'll have my TEMU build parts on Wednesday. I actually found a neck on there, too. Got it already. Only needed a few frets rounded at the edge and it's a beautiful flame. kinda a golden in color neck! Not light, not dark

Great video. One thing I always do is measure the major diameter of screw then select a numbered or lettered drill just a thousandth or 3 larger than screw and drill thru body into neck cavity. Theres been times the screw was tight against the body and neck not fully seated. Just thought I'd share that.

That is the sound I want! I don’t know what to do to get it. Do I need to just buy a Partscaster? That is better than any Strat I have Ever heard. Do I need to send you the Silvertone, or buy a Tenu hardtail body and send the Silvertone to scavenge from? I love that sound! It sounds like my Silver Fender Strat only better with Cathy’s Humbuckers in it. Wow, that blew me away!

I am wondering if I can get a new loaded pickguard to replace the one on my Silvertone Strat style guitar? It is plywood but it has the curves and a good neck. The pickups are garbage. I believe both ends are routed for Humbuckers. The bridge is a 3 point trem. I want an HSS Almico 5 and alpha pots. I d even settle for 2 Humbuckers and no single coil like yours. Where can I get one like that ? The naked HH with good pots.

I got my loaded pick guard from TEMU today. It's the standard strat 3 single coil pick ups. There are 3 wires, not 2. 2 black and 1 white. What do I solder to the ground of the bridge, bit black and the white to the jack? Help.please

They definitely have a lot of cool stuff on there but the hat's and clothing is very thin. I also got some "Ernie Ball" strings for a ridiculously low price but I'm very skeptical because the packaging wasn't the same as the legit ones , although I haven't tried them yet 🤔

I went strictly to D’Addarrio. Stringing the 12 string is not something that you want to have to redo. After I shattered my shoulder I had to tune a set of 09-42s down a half step from 10-52s Eb. I want a fat sound, but strings, pickups trem blocks, you really have to watch for off shore garbage. I’m no brand whore, but a pair of ceramic humbuckers and dime size pots the same price as a loaded 3 ply with copper sandwiched between Almico 5 500k big pot s that logic will tell you that they run cooler. For within $10?

The purple one is slick looking a couple weeks ago they had some decent looking banana headstock necks on Amazon for about 60 dollars I think, it could be a budget Kramer alternative but it would probably good with your necks on it too because your headstock shape sorta resembles a little bigger Kramer beak headstock and would have the straight string pull anyway that grape gorilla color makes me think 80s and the pick guard is sorta like Brad Gillis vibes anyway the roasted maple neck would probably look sweet bolted on the purple body. The white one reminds me those older Ibanez rx or whatever they were before the GIO really decent guitars for the money. Anyway can’t wait to see the purple beater caster grape gorilla Honestly if you can find a good neck that has good fret work done I don’t know if you couldn’t easily build a better guitar than you can buy for less than 7-800 dollars there’s so many options out there for bodies and stuff, I believe you that that guitar could go toe to toe with Mexican fenders easily and probably a lot of other 1000 ish dollar guitars.

Hey Sean, the necks on eBay what is the fret radius? Those necks look great. Also where can I get a quality loaded pickguard that has two Humbuckers for a Strat style Plywood Silvertone . It is heavy, but I don’t gig anymore. I get too much noise from single coils. Even my Tele with two singles . I checked my amp and it is a Peavey Rage from the 90s. No hot spots in either side even with gain on. I blew the dust out, but I get that 60 cycle hum. Any place I can get a decent loaded pickguard? Fender wants $300. I don’t want to invest that much in the Silvertone. The plywood is on the heavy side, but it appears to routed for two humbuckers. hope to see yall tonight.

Hey Sean, I found your channel a couple of months ago and it's always fun and informative to watch! You show that if I've got an old neck around I want to put on a new body just drill some holes but what if I've got a neck that already has holes but a new body with no holes. I know I could just plug the holes in the neck and redrill but it just seems like that would be a weaker, less reliable fit that using the original neck holes. Got any tricks to accurately line these up without screwing it up?

Damn that white one is SWEET!!! My teeth are falling out! 9-42s. OMG that is exactly what I want! I had a silver Single Humbucker at the bridge and I could raise the hair on the back of your neck. It has a nice 3 point trem and the block is average not extreme or bad. So I can’t see well enough to buy a loaded pickguard. The one on it is SSS. But I am sure that it is cut for 2 Hs. If not I have a router to make it fit. I like the jack too. Have you considered that? It is also a 3 color sunburst. It has the black headstock that is as close to the early fender…..Just let me know. That is beautiful better than my MIM Tele. I will pay up front for mine.

No, the Grover Self-Locking Tuners are not staggered !!! Neck Headstock shape some peoples use string trees while others do not. The same goes for Staggered Tuners. I'll use Staggered Locking Tuners so I do not Stress the Headstock, then I do not have to use string trees. I do not like string trees myself, but when I use them I get GraphTech or a Quality Premium Brand Metal Alloy Roller string trees. Play On FretBro . . . 👍🆒🎸🤘☺️🇺🇸🙏 DDH 12-8-2023.
