I just put a SYE kit into an 89 np241 myself and installed in a 78 Scottsdale. This is some good work.....I bet you saved big dollars doing this. I am a novice so I did screw up here and there, but in the end she came together...just wanted to say I loved your video.

You should bring that to the market my guy, my driveline making was telling me I should eliminate my slip yoke cause of how bad the angles are when I picked up my front driveline and this would literally solve 99.9% of the issues I’m running into trying to figure out a solution. Awesome vid though.

I cant believe the aftermarket doesn't make this yet. There's so many trucks out there with a 208 transfer case that I think could benefit from this modification.

Tom Woods will do it, at $500...eyeroll There's kits for the 241, if you can find one. They only came in 89 with a mechanical speedo. Every year after 89 is vss. ​@@spankranchgarage

The 208 T-cases in 80s Dodges came with a rear output flange.

Having a cv joint at the t case output and just a u-joint at the differential can cause a lot of driveline vibration unless you have your pinion angle inline with the driveshaft. It’s good also to have the pinion about -1° of the driveshaft angle so that it goes to about 0° under acceleration. You probably know all this but I’m just trying to sound smart too. (Wrote this before seeing the finished product.)

Any chance you have the part number of seal used and the flange you used. Doing this to my 208 and havin hard time finding the right parts.

Nice video, but that is not a cv joint. It’s called a double cardan joint.

I agree it’s a double cardan. But it’s constant velocity also, that’s why we can have zero degrees at the pinion u joint. It is a CV joint just not commonly referred to that as most think of fwd style joints when they think CV.

What flange did you get. I brought one and it will fit the front output shaft. But not the rear output?

What size of driveshaft u have on their? And which yoke do u have?

For the time being I used a F250 front shaft with a conversion U joint on the back. Ill build a new shaft from scratch when I make some other changes to this truck

I know this is an old video but for those with a hoist HEVER support the vehicle by the left spring perch. "I do it all the time" is a lame ass excuse for basic safety. Yes, mechanic since 1992 all at dealerships and old school gas stations. Now I own my own custom shop, and I would fire an employee who "had experience" that ever lifted a vehicle like that and shown at 24 seconds already. Unfortunately makes the rest of the content worthless.
