Nice progress. Don't forget to finish the welding on the mill stand joints when you dismantle and add the head riser 😁 Those tack welds probably won't hold forever 😱

I intentionally built it so that the weight would be carried by the legs and not the welds. One thing you learn real quick with welding is to not pour a bunch of heet into a part if you can avoid it, as that will lead to big problems with keeping everything nice and square. These tac welds were nice and hot so that they penetrate well and aren't going anywhere. Thanks for watching..

+1 on the ball oiler idea. Good call on keeping the Enco. I need a riser for my mill too but having a hard time finding a 12” round piece of cast or steel pipe.

I have the Harbor Freight led non linkable lights and I love them also. They replaced fluorescent lights and are such an improvement in my garage and basement workshop and laundry area. I have 9 or 10 Harbor Freight brand and 3 or 4 other brand led's, all 4 foot units. Nice video, thanks for sharing!

I agree 100%. Way better quality of light than any fluorescent I've ever had, and they are affordable..

Nice job on the stand. Heavy machines need good stands. Those HF lites are a harsh frequency vs others avail.

Are you sensitive to the lights somehow? Can you explain please?

My buddy Chad finally came over to take a look at it (it's his mill) and we played around with making some cuts. Great little machine..
