seeing this slightly after seeing a monochrome map or whatever it was called where everything was shades of grey... made me think of those old videos of "the moment tv broadcasts switched from black and white to color" and thought it would be fun to see a map that starts completely grey and then at the halfway point it switches to being colorful...
