From Daiwa is the exceler reel. If you prefer shimano then go the nasci reel. (Exceller is lighter, but the nasci has seals) both will be great.

I only use one lure for an entire week at a cabin my parents rent at a private lake. Last year was a drop shot worm, the year before was a spinner bait. I have not figured out what this year will be. Maybe some kind of plug or rattle trap. It's a deep lake with very few weeds in it so I can use pretty much anything except jigs that will get caught on the bottom. The average bass out of the pond is maybe 10-12 inches very stunted
