@@BikesandBeards some insight from my experience on that one. I have a DT400 motor on a Deere 10/32 2 stage thrower. Throws snow pretty good but 2 issues i was never able to get past. 1: working the clutch, throttle and shifting gears is a real PIA while trying to work the machines normal controls. 2: the wheel for the friction disc that drives it burns up almost immediately!🤣

if you guys ever try to improve this build, lawn mowers work by creating lift and suction to lift the grass and cut it equally, if you want that mower to cut, those blades would have to be spinning *incredibly* fast to create enough lift. awesome video by the way.

Heads up @Bikes and Beards, Monster Garage did a mower on a Mustang years ago and the way they did it at high speed was to use old fashioned manual push rotor mowers linked to custom arms. Maybe cover them with a shroud, but I bet you could get the fastest mower like that

Yeah, I think they go 7 MPH because cutting grass going faster then 10-15 MPH is going to take forever and many passes...Also safety. That all said, I'd love to see something adapted to handle 10-15 MPH and still cut grass decently each pass.

It's time to experiment with gear ratios on the bike. Since you're dragging lawn mowers on grass I'm thinking a slightly larger rear sprocket is in order. You might get more speed, hill climbing ability and less stress on the motor.

For a front mount, remove all the mower wheels from the decks and leave a small mx rim for a front wheel. Them make the decks mount to forks somehow and just float. When you turn either deck would need to have a hinge so you dont ass over teakettle. Have a 360° swivel scalp wheel frontside each deck. Kinda like a snowbike I guess

If you took a rod the length of the two mowers, and put it through the hole where you bolt the tires in place might give more control? Then it can get leverage all the way to the edges of the mowers helping turn them while adding strength as well.

Next time try a mower with the big rear wheels like a Troy Built mower. It also works well but use a small bike like a 125 and gear it down so you don't have to slip the clutch so much.
