OMG......ONE THOUSAND TIMES!!!!!!! I so remember when this was released and played on the radio in Los Angeles.....I was 14, and my first introduction to the young genius! I would run to the radio and turn it up when it came on. You can really see how influenced he was by Frankie Lymon...what a treasure!!

Amazing talent at a very young age. He nails both sides. Great drummer too.

Part 1 is kinda fun and poppy sounding. Stevie's singing is youthful, but doesn't crack as it would post-Fingertips-pre-Uptight. The harmonica playing is just ok on side 1. However, he really breaks it down and gets SOULFUL on side 2, playing HARD CORE FUNKY BLUES with his Chromatic harmonica (which is not easy to do for a grown musician-much less a 12 year old)! Oddly enough, this has never appeared on any of Stevie albums, only on a 1962 Motown compilation. Go figure.
