I CAMPED NEX FOR OVER AN ENTIRE MONTH! OSRS (#43)

We are back at Nex testing out my Iron's luck once again! In today's installemt we start at 333 Kc and go all the way to the clean number of 1,000 Kc! This took me roughly 5 weeks to complete and was all completed in FFA Mass Worlds. I already have Nihil shards as well as the spoon of the Zaryte Vambraces. So can we in turn get something new in our name and fill in the collection log book at the same time?
The main goal of this series is too fill the collection log book to 1,000 slots on my Ironman. Currently I am sitting at 754 slots filled, so we are 3/4 the way there! I am also building up a massive dopamine tab which is nearly 1 year old with the restrictions of allowing myself to loot everything is too achieve a mixture of 1,000 clue caskets (not inc beginners) and side goal of 800 slots filled as well.

You should try small nex teams, 1000 nex kills at ffa mass and you are only a little bit over half the droprate for one signature item (1/360 nihil shards)

nicely put, the mass is kind of a lottery. Rather a waste of time simply put. You are better of trying to join a mini mass (5-10 man) or just 5-6 manning together, get the mechanics down and then downsize to effecient teams like duo/trio/4mans.

I understand where you are coming from & at the time when I was doing the masses in the ffa worlds, it was purely because I wanted to farm elites whilst having the chance of a big ticket item. The resources do add up over time as well & I know there is better ways on getting elites, but just had that drive to keep going at Nex. Think spooning the vambraces gave me the illusion of possibly snagging another unique within the grind as well as it showed that I can get lucky. I wouldn't really imagine many people would take me in a smaller team with the gear I have plus I only have a handful of friends that does bosses like nex.

@@BorrowIronOSRSall you basically need for effecient trios is fang and voidwaker and lightbearer, “nexffa” cc is a cc that most ironmen and mains use to find teammates ranging from duo to minimass teams!

wanted to give a couple pieces of advice, at 0:45 in ur intro the audio goes pretty quiet so it's hard to hear what you're saying for it. also, the way nex droprates work is that per kill there's a 1/43 chance that she will drop a rare drop for anyone in the room (with a bit of variability depending on MVP and damage done, but for rough numbers it isn't really worth counting). this means in a duo your chances of getting a drop in your name are 1/86. duos are difficult though, so in an eight man it'd be a 1/344, and with some practice that team size might be doable with ur gear. compared to the odds of a drop in your name with 50 ppl in the room being 1/2150, it's definitely worth taking the time if u want to camp there much longer. also, a rune crossbow with ruby bolts(e) would be a massive DPS increase over blowpipe, although u would still want to bring bp as it'll be your best DPS on the minions and reavers. sorry for the ramble, nice vid. hope u get a drop soon :3

I appreciate your feedback and fully understand about the nex system in the first place. Think spooning the vambraces so early on gave me that optical illusion that I could keep getting drops if the luck train continued. I don't know many people who would take me in with them to learn Nex in smaller teams to have better chances of loot/ understanding the mechanics in smaller groups. I think I felt I was killing Nex for other stuff other than purely just uniques. Elite clue scrolls seems to be one of my top drops I liked from Nex, I know there is other ways to 'farm' elite clues, but this just seemed so easy to me in the masses. Getting around 25 elites in 1000 kills to me is pretty good. The resources in general was very good for me as well which they do add up over time. Plus just going for the clean kc was another reason why I decided to do this grind. Fully knowing getting any uniques to me was just an added bonus. I will most likely go back to Nex in ffa masses again but at a lot later date as I am not really 'hunting' a particular drop, perhaps the horn would be a great upgrade at a later date. Quite a lot of the time I was getting roughly 15-25 kills in a single trip dependant on getting any supply drops. The intro section was purely to not hurt peoples ears regards the sound as I have been getting some feedback regards of changing volumes througout my videos lately.
