The balance in ER is non existent at the moment, lots of absurdly OP and just plain broken shit, but a lot of these clips just show a decent player dabbing on people who are clueless. Low vigor, panic rolling, no spacing, being too aggressive at the wrong times and so on. PVP in ER right now is pretty much a mix of DS3 veterans absolutely demolishing all the newcomers, and then a small smattering of players who are bad at the game but crutch win through broken builds and WA spamming.

The difference with early WoW tho was the fact that its not a very fast paced game and hitboxes arent that big of a deal since spells and attacks are homing, theres no cleave unless the ability specifically says so. And couple that with the fact that early WoW had better servers than what we have today... these stupid cloud-based servers are clearly not very good, if current massive world pvp is anything to go by. :P

PvP is in a really bad state. Game has so many busted elements it's crazy. Status procs stunning mid s, ash of war spam, spell spam, passive poise being overtuned, bad lag/netcode. Dueling is somewhat bearable but invasions can get crazy when 3 man ganks can just cheese you down with blenders and aoe. Skill ceiling is really low and bad players can rely on broken stuff instead of having good game fundamentals like spacing

I tried pvp for a day and 90% of the fights were me getting instant killed in one hit by a build that minmaxed to exploit a broken mechanic, weapon, or ash of war. Hilariously broken, so pissed. Really could have played this game more for the pvp like in ds3 but it’s not fun to have to choose between killing everyone you fight in 2 hits or less or getting killed in 2 hits or less.

The funny part is most of the abilities hes using aren't even considered op. The only thing that's really broken right now is the Rivers of Blood weapon art. Things only get ridiculous when 8/10 invasions are one weapon. As long as the builds are diverse and EVERYTHING is equally broken, nothing is broken.

Weapon arts ruined the PvP for this game. Honestly so sad. The PvP was one of the best parts of Souls games. I had over 4000 hours in DS2 just from pvp. Now I’m ER, the fights aren’t based on fighting skill, but who can spam OP weapon arts the fastest

Lol nerfed more like un usable holy crap. I don't use ashes of war but they just made bloody slash un usable from reading that they increase self damage lowered the damage you do and made the cast time longer. If a skill can one shot at full health that is broken and needs fixing. I was watching videos on nerfed stuff compared to how they was and every one of them took like 7 or more hits to kill the bosses and like 3 or more for the mini bosses and that's upgraded to like a 5 or higher now at level 10 it doesn't do as much damage for pretty much all those. I could be wrong because I'm only going by what I seen because you can simply choose not to use a broken wepon or whatever or if you do just don't upgrade it to the point it is broken. Some of the bosses are broken and enemies will they ever be nerfed or fixed hell no so why should people pay 65 to 75 dollars on a game find something they like and can do good damage with be nerfed then all those hours they spent on those builds is just gone like that because besides nerfing something they just make it a bad wepon. It seems every wepon that can do 300 damage at level 24 will be nerfed even tho that still isn't alot of damage most bosses have at least 5000 health. I have videos of the snake enemies grabbing me through walls when they bite you and pick you up to poison you they cab go through anything to grabe you those big machines that also grabe you some how can spot you while stealth on a roof 2 stories up and somehow climb the houses to get to you I guess I'm not irritated that they nerf wepons but they nerf wepons before fixing actual issues like I don't have to use the blood slash but I can't avoid walking past a wall and a snake going through the wall or as many times the horse glitches out yeah it doesn't vanish anymore but more than once I will call the horse get on it and I will be sitting on air while the horse just runs straight and then I just die after 2 minutes because I almost killed the fire giant first try and that happened I waited to see if it would fix nope! Just nerf the damn stuff after fixing the game they fixed like 3 actual glitches I was experiencing when I first got the game but nerfed like 20 things nothing takes you out of a game experience than seeing a stupid glitch or one happening to you I've even randomly Is teleported across the map a few times when I was killing enemies
