Excited for you Mike. Something I have not seen in Ph the 4xs I went is Jello shots. Brother with all the mango, banana, strawberries and more... with the coconut liquor... you would have the most unique Beaver Shot that would be next level. Easy to make, fun to take, AND there could be kids jello shots too which is just more of the juice instead of liquor! I may not be the first to suggest it but if I am I hope you're able to find a way to incorporate it at some point. Best wishes!

cheers !!yep, i agree time will tell, in about 2 months when it changes into the regular clientele between then and the next 6 months,should determine which way it's looking to go should be !!at that point if it's going sour,he be prudent?! to re assess the trajectory of the business well and make a guess as to what is working, or a new direction from what isn't that might, re right it. otherwise he too might become that 1 of the 80%. .thank god i already i have my dream,all i need, give to charities, couple business's and a family place already in Palawan and roots in our community our/my fiances father himself is a local magistrate,(same as his uncle was but i guess he got assassinated by a rival,which i guess actually happens a lot) so we already have enough ties with local infrastructure and unlike mike we can tell our magistrate to go home to bed any time we need and he will do it!!not sure of that mayor will

Your Subs have many bright IDEAS, and I want to call a few out: ☆ NAME TAGS for staff = easier for everyone, including you, Michael. lol ☆ TIKI TORCHES = a real one could be hard to manage, so check out those flickering faux ones made with solar LEDs. Great for visuals without being a distraction. (Amazon lists a few.) * CROWD CONTROL = if it gets too crowded on Saturday, you may want to LIMIT the # inside the main area. Use the nextdoor lot as the Waiting Area. P.S. The Karaoke SINGER really had great pipes. So was the bday celebrant. 👏👏👏

Good hearted, are u a local, a Filipino/a? Otherwise, unless you have a very unique visa; M & his partners cannot hire you or even allow volunteering or gifting. The Phil is strict about their laws to protect native employment. (I’m not a lawyer that’s just what M & commenters have said).

I hear ya, true concern esp in older days in my country in which the dining establishments etc filled with smoke. It was a true haze cloud hanging in the air. But I’m certain L is frequently taken home which is close by, or to friends’ relatives’ places for babysitting during these construction times. My worry about a separate room is imo better to have my eyes on her. & other trusted peeps at the CB watching her, like Michael! 🦅If she’s in a separate area…so close to water.😱That’s always the thing even after children know how to swim.

Not a good idea overlooking bars in the Philippines. You know the saying " By the way dear, I have a business meeting to attend and will be gone for 2 weeks". I think you can get the drift of what I am implying here.

i would agree, additionally, if there are times when it gets really slow, which will always happen(in ANY HOSPITALITY INDUSTRY), if there is a 14 hour 5 days a week live cam ,it would regardless of any real reflection give everyone the false impression!!watching =that bar is failing!!when that might not be the case, but for him personally?!?to have a cctv there,that the staff doesn't know and notice might be a somewhat slimy thing maybe, but a prudent thing,given that in that industry any employee in any country alone might do something not very honorable!!when no one is looking.

The place isn't even open and karoke is going NEAR the bar! ROFL I suggested a few vids back asking the neighbors next door if you could put up a stage, high enough to avoid storm surge, on the property next to you for both bands and karoke keeping both FAR ENOUGH AWAY from bar so you could hear the music and also hear each other. Michael, I'm seeing first hand the Phils love karaoke, so why not make it a staple, but under cover on a stage next door, of course, with the neighbors blessing? Maybe one of the Filipino partners should speak directly to the neighbors? What my town does in US that has a lot of outdoor concerts is a steel stage on wheels that has electrical outlets on it - and can be pulled by a truck to put it where you want it. Originally, I was thinking a wooden stage with a roof and just run outdoor extension cords to it for power for both instruments and lights. Oh well, it will be interesting to watch and see what you come up with as EVERYBODY is bouncing to the karaoke music. The music makes them all feel good.

Transferred here to Subic Bay. 35k for 100+ sq meter, 2 bedroom, 2 bath, kitchen, living room, 3 aircon, hot water, on the beach. Fully furnished. including electric, water, cable, and internet. 45min bus to Angeles City. Iloilo was good, but too many brownouts, drought, water shortage, housing shortage, inflation, etc. There is 40% cola decrease in Subic, compared to Iloilo.
