I did dad's tournament today, Iowa decided to have major pms, 50mph winds, sleet, freezing rain, yesterday was 60. Ugh. Still caught some bass, salt my first one in the kayak decided to jump off the bump board as I was trying to get a photo, nice 22" 5lber. Did lemme a couple more 17s and a few other but the wind got so bad my kayak decided to skip and roll half way access the park, so I bailed. 1st tourney ever, so not too bad. Glad you posted about the lipless, I'm gonna give that a try tomorrow! I'm new to fishing, so the help us appreciated!

Gotta love when you get on that epic bite. I've had it happen a couple times. Once was a paylake where my buddy and I caught 30 20-40lb shovelheads and blue cats in a 2hr span. Another time was creek fishing and we hit a spawning flat right when all the rock bass were feeding. We caught hundreds of rockys in an hour.

Missouri went to a modified lockdown. Satay at home but we can still go fishing, mushrooming, turkey hunting. Basically anything outdoors on public land is still a go as long as social distancing is applied. Oh and the state waived needing a fishing license till the end of April.

The problem was the out of towners coming in, buying all the food in the stores, and staying in the hotels. The mayor just closed off all access to the Sandusky river by closing down fremont public access, which I understand why he did it.
