Thank you, my friend, for following my wish and giving us Losties another space and reason to celebrate today's release of "Weapons of Mass Seduction"!😍✨️🌠 Everyone who gets to hear Lord of the Lost for the first time with this explosive video should definitely check out their new cover album, as they paid tribute to countless beloved and history-making artists such as David Bowie, Michael Jackson, Judas Priest, Duran Duran, Ultravox, Roxette, Lady Gaga, Bronski Beat, Iron Maiden, Billy Idol and many more! The 80's-infused sound full of synth magic is absolutely prevalent throughout the entire album - and we Losties LOVE IT!❤️🔥🎶👾 However, "Loreley" is making such a perfect connection to the new release - not only because it's the guys' most successful song and biggest hit by far, but also because the electronica are pretty dominant here as well - especially in the evocative, enigmatic verses before each chorus. Chris' vocals are always out of this world - that's one of a million reasons for why my life is so often revolving around this mesmerizing band - but the versatility he's showing in "Loreley" is definitely top notch and on the highest level even in comparison to any other vocalists in Metal, Goth and similar genres. I mean: From verses that almost sound mystical to obliterating growls that almost tear the entire world apart, what else can you wish for?!?!? Tommy, you're absolutely right: LOTL deserve even more recognition, fame and love despite already being a growing band with a plethora of new listeners each and every day. Especially the US needs to give the guys some more attention, as it's almost impossible to find such an ace sound full of nostalgia and modernity at the same time! Maybe the US tour dates in 2024 will be their boost in America: Coming to NEW YORK on September 14th and to LOS ANGELES on September 27th! There could be even more US tour dates, so just keep your eyes open...😉🥰 Last but not least: Everyone check out their album "Thornstar" - this is the album that also contains "Loreley". You won't be the same anymore after listening to this immaculate piece of art, I promise you.🖤✨️🌠

A few years ago I had started to get back into music, after not listening for probably a decade or so. LOTL was the very first band that pulled me in, specifically the track after Loreley (Black Halo) on their Thornstar album, and since, it's been the sound that has set the example of what I look for in bands. LOTL, Rammstein, and Emigrate are my three favorite bands that I am now listening to almost all the time that I'm awake, and I often fall asleep listening to them too. It's been so much fun following LOTL the last few years and watching them rise. And while I started learning to speak German so I could better understand Rammstein's lyrics, it's very much helping to understand interviews and media released by the band in that language too.

thanks for sharing. and you are right: This singer Chris Harms has got a gift. He has no classical clean voice but he can get it if he wants. At this point of time, most of the fans wish him to show his dirty voice much more again - the last two years was so much of pop-clean voices of him. Now, after this great pop rock era, we all long for the slightly evil, dirty voice that he also has.

LOTL are really great, I hope to see them live next year. Currently I'm waiting for my preordered copy of the new cover album, it's not there yet. I agree that they are underrated, quite so, from what I have been seeing and hearing they've gotten some well deserved recognition over the past year. And I just had a thought, I would love to see a future Depths of the melody segment with Chris Harms, his interviews are always so interesting.

Can't believe it, LOTL review just a day after asking if you had any plans to interview Chris? What a song, what a band, what a review. Still can't believe they are not bigger than they are. When Iron Maiden come knocking on your door, not once, but twice you would have thought the stars were your limit. Maybe one day?

I don't think I will ever become a fan of this band. All I have heard so far was just not my cup of tea. Having said that, this song was great. I really liked it. It had fantastic flow, great voice, great sound. It could have moved a bit more, but that is a minor complaint. And I'm happy another german (rock) band is making international success. It is well deserved...
@howlandgrowl11 ай бұрын
Hi Dan, nice to see an honest opinion, you like the band, but may not be a fan. This band may be the same for you as Epica is for me, I like the band but they just don't click for some reason. I am never sure if the flamboyant/outrageous costumes and make up tend to put people off? The Roxette/David Bowie influence is here for all to see.
@DanTheSqueegeeMan11 ай бұрын
@@howlandgrowl Well, it's a bit of both. Most of the songs I have heard were just ok, I didn't hate them, but I didn't love them. This one was much better, But you are right, I am often put off if a band or artist tries hard to gain attention by their looks... whether it's costumes, masks or excessive makeup. I care about the music, the performance and the artist, not the facade. But it's their artistic choice, so of course I respect this and hope fo them they will succeed.
@howlandgrowl11 ай бұрын
@@DanTheSqueegeeMan Yeah, I'm a massive fan of their music, but don't care for the looks. The blood and glitter song has over the top costumes/make up but I only really hear/see the music. If you see them "behind the scenes" they are just very down to earth guys. Perhaps some people like the look, I think it should have stayed in the 70's, but as you say it's their choice, and the only thing that matters to me is the music.

Tried it again with this song after the Eurovision desaster ... still don't get it. Monotone -- not to say primitive -- rhythm, a voice with hardly any range, minimalist guitar work. Germany zero points, I'd say ... again. What is so good about the music? "He looks so cool!" Then a bit of Death Metal growl ... nothing compared to Lorna Shore's Will Ramos, just to name one. By any standards that are known to me, this is not even mediocre. Maybe someone can educate me what is really so good about the band's music.
@elendil_lehtinen11 ай бұрын
It's a matter of taste. I for example can't find anything good about Lorna Shore or any Deathcore, but LOTL are my favourite band by far. So what? People differ from each other. Lord of the Lost are amazingly creative and gifted in my view.
@howlandgrowl11 ай бұрын
Eurovision was not a disaster for them, as they have said, they had everything to gain and nothing to lose. Their fanbase has grown extensively since Eurovision. Germany are a bit like the UK, they are generally despised by the world, and the voting tends to follow that trend, good song/band or not. I don't think you need educating, this band has been around for nearly 15 years, and if you have tried to like the music, but you don't get it then this band is clearly not "up your street". I have exactly the same experience with Epica, it's probably just one of those anomalies where you try, but it just doesn't work out. At least you gave them another try, thats all that anyone can ask
@TheWolffAndTheMelody11 ай бұрын
