Unfortunately most people missed one of my absolute favorite jokes of all time, because it's not in the U.S. version of the movie for some reason. But this movie has an extended cut where TWO times, after one of Dr. Evil's henchmen (the one who gets steamrolled and the one who gets his head bit off) we cut to a scene where they show the families and/or friends of those henchmen and they get delivered the "terrible news". It's SUCH a change of tone but it is *SOOOOOO* fn HILARIOUS!! I recommend everyone to look it up!

A lot of Bond movie references in this movie. Specific and generalized. Like in the Bond movies, there are sometimes girls with very erotic/sexual names. Actual Bond girls, Octopussy, Pussy Galore (Alotta Fagina in the movie as a spoof). Dude with the shoe, Random Task (Odd Job throws hat in actual Bond movies). A movie has a girl helping someone with cheating at cards by telling him, but in this movie, this guy just can look through the cards to cheat (cheating at cards in Bond in general). Dr. Evil holding the cat is based on a bond villain, Bond just being irresistible to the ladies plus many others.
@Yngvarfo
@Yngvarfo 3 ай бұрын
Dr. Evil not showing his face for a while. The Bond villain went through many movies before we actually saw his face, but Dr. Evil borrows traits from a few other Bond villains as well. There's also the overly elaborate and easily escapable death trap. Bond movies have many of those. The extended cut of the movie elaborates some more on the quickly killed and nameless henchmen.

I remember seeng this for the first tiime back in high school, (and I do mean, literally in high school). There's many great moments, but that scene with the steram rolller really sticks out in my mind.

I got a cute story that involves Elizabeth Hurley. One time I told my best friend's wife that she looked a little bit like Elizabeth Hurley, which I knew was a compliment, but they had just read an article that indicated that Elizabeth Hurley was the most beautiful woman in the world. My friend's wife turned beet red. She had low self esteem and social anxiety.

Since you like this movie, I would recommend if looks could kill. I can't remember the exact year, but I remember it from the 90s.

This film didn't get big until about a year after it came out. It was home video that really blew it up, but by '98 it was popular enough that the sequel was fast-tracked. By the end of the series in the early '00s, it was massive, as you'll see by the very size of the cameos. It is a worthwhile series.

Mike Myers also plays two characters in "So I Married An Axe Murderer", the main character and also his Scottish father who's hilarious.

LOL Addie, when I think of Mike Meyers, it's always "So I Married an Axe Murderer" first, then the two "Wayne's World" movies.

When I think of Mike Myers I think about a guy who gets way into Halloween. That Tom Arnold cameo is great.

Mike Myers as Linda Richman, on SNL. That's my favorite. But this faux James Bond is funny
