I've been playing this game for over 30 years and have always been a modest winner. I've read dozens of books and posted on 2plus2 over the years, but I've never taken studying super seriously. I found this channel maybe 6 weeks ago and have been watching a couple of videos a week. It has dramatically changed my game. I'm winning so much more when I run hot, and I'm able to get in there and mix it up with my marginal hands and bluffs in subtle but important ways that I never have before. I appreciate the simple format, the fact that you repeat the same good advice again and again, and the clarity of your thinking and explanations. Keep em coming, and thanks again.

Your challenge is especially fun to follow having started playing the Hustler 5/5 around the same time and probably logging a similar number of hours thus far. Though I swing hard enough to wonder how much that sample is telling me, I certainly wouldn't argue that a materially higher win rate like the one you're targeting isn't at least plausible given how many egregious mistakes my results have been forced to endure. Thanks for the great content and the generous words (QQ hand). Eagerly awaiting the coming vlogs to see how the rest of the challenge plays out.

31:15 What is the thought process behind deciding to check raise or check call with JT on this JT9 board MW? If you were deeper would you still check raise? Are you not worried about KQ, JJ, TT, 99, Q8s, 87s etc? I find these speculative calls preflop leads to a lot of trouble postflop. If I were to run into KQ here I would be mad at myself for lack of preflop discipline. Is the thought process just being ahead of more combos like QQ+ AJ KJ than combos we are behind? What's the thought process on future run outs. Any A K Q 9 8 are bad cards, about 1/3 of the deck makes the turn a bit tricky. Much like the bomb pots in PLO I tend to want to see a safe turn card before piling money in.

Earlier in the video 3BP OOP you also said your MO was to check range because Ip stabs too often, but you said you are deviating because they under stab King high boards. In this SRP on King high board do you still recommend checking range? Are these boards still over stabbed in SRP but not in 3BP?

srp much more incentive to x because spr is high and xr allows us to play for all of it, whereas in 3bp we can often just bet bet bet and get it in

When a reg or rec just grabs a bunch of chips and bets. What does that tell you? I like to ask them how much did you bet? And they always just shake their head and point at the chips and the dealer has to add them up. (Even though I can add them up quickly myself). But they have no idea what they put in, maybe an estimate. When I have a Thick Value or better I like to raise them up, but when I don’t have anything or thin value, I’m not really sure what that bet sizing is telling me. 🤔

the KQo hand i am having a hard time following the cap vs uncapped logic. Let me try to steel man: normally when you think they are capped you go for large size? And you do think he is capped because the flatting the flop bet indicates marginal hand. However you think he could have had a K and flatted because of how dry the board is. So you decide to go small for 1 more street so that you can get some extra value. That makes sense. What I dont get is that if you dont have such a strong hand would you still go so big on Turn?
