Some girl you never spoke to is infatuated, then obsessed and for some reason she thinks you are responsible for that. Being rude would be imposing your feelings or interest on someone you don't know and expecting them to show interest or reciprocate. Sure, some people, not just females are just shy and need time to come out of their shells. If there is a mutual interest then be patient.
