In Body Rhythm, i love the way Onew sing the pre-chorus "Won’t you follow my body rhythm Come and follow my body rhythm You can sweetly hold my hand and dance Now oh my my my" His soft and sweet voice really hit different. And Key's too. His voice and the way he sing it is very addictive. Make you want to hit replay again and again and again. :)

shinee is always daring with their lyrics. And now that the older shawols are mostly of marriageable age, you know where this is going lol. Jonghyun even has a song about first night and just nonchalantly revealing the meaning on his showcase. And I think I am at the point where I am wishing them to date, be married, and have kids if they want to without feeling bad :D

There are lots of SHINee songs with "naughty" lyrics...lol. However, I think the most "naughty" of them all are Jonghyun and Taemin. In Taemin's case, you should definitely react to his lyric videos for "Impressionable" and "Strings". Then his live performances of "Sexuality", "Slave", One by One", and "Do It Baby". You will MELT. Also, Taemin really flexes his vocal range in "Impressionable". However, there is Key's "Born to Shine"......oh I can't wait until you do THAT ONE! He's such a naughty boy that one...LOL. Minho did the "kiss" sound in "Kiss, Kiss", as well as the whistling for "Attention". Most SHAWOLs would be very happy to see our boys get married and have little baby SHINees running around. While I'm sure there are some obsessive Western fans, the majority of the "never marry" fans are on the Korean side. It's kind of a cultural thing. They actually take ownership of their favorite idols and never want them to marry to the point where it can ruin an idol's career or forces the couple to split. This is why dating rumors are squelched and companies don't encourage idols to date or have much of any interactions with the opposite sex at all. This is just one of the reasons why it was such a shocking thing when Taemin came out with "Move" and had all girl backup dancers. Then, to add to the shock, Taemin demonstrated that it was okay and totally appropriate to dance the same way as the girls....because dancing has no gender. It's an action...a verb if you will. This caused a cultural meltdown that delighted idols and the youth of Korea. SHINee, I believe, (someone will correct me if I'm wrong, which is totally possible) was the first group to integrate both genders with their backup dancers and Taemin, since "Move" (maybe before) always has both genders with his backup dancers in both his groups - Korean and Japanese.

every fandom has their bad apples of people who try to restrict the idols' personal live, but i would say shawols are fairly chill about their personal stuff compared to other groups. I think it's because the older a group gets, the more mature the fans become and the more we want to see our idols have happy lives even outside of their celebrity life. As someone who stans a lot of older groups, i can say for sure there are a lot more people in that crowd that actually start requesting for idols to get married already lol

Shawols are very different from other fans. I’ve noticed that so many times during my time of loving SHINee. They’re very selfless. The boys are selfless, and their fans are selfless. SHINee never wants views or anything, they just make music to make their fans, a k a us, happy. And they achieve it every time. I love how close our fandom is. One of the most selfless and zero toxic fandom. And we shawols will be very very very happy if our boys are getting married. Because that means they will be finally happy with someone to show them love and love them in return. Sexuality isn’t an issue as long as they’re loved. So yes, we will love our boys to get married. They’re in their thirities (just like me) and I watched them grow up while growing up with them. And I’m going to get married too. So they will be married someday too. On a show, Minho's mum told him to find a girl because she thought he worked too hard and didn't have fun. He was 27 I think then anyway, he got bombarded by shawols telling him to find a girl and be happy afterwards. Make your mum happy. Be happy. They've said about wanting to find someone and settle down after 30, and some shawols actually had a petition going assuring them we'd be supportive. BUT there are some who're not ready and might throw a fit, to them I say, in the words of Jonghyun, even COCKROACHES have mates, how could we deny them that chance of happiness? This was especially obvious 2018 onwards.

I would honestly love to see them fall in love, go on sweet dates, get married and have kids. I think most Shawols are pretty chilled about their love lives probably because the fandom has many mature fans. Most Shawols are just protective of their happiness so if finding someone special and falling in love makes them happy then we're all for it. That's what matters most.

Thank you again for reacting to the whole album! Are you guys planning to do the whole discography? Going backwards? I would love to see that! What I love about the “Don’t Call Me/Atlantis” album is how it showcases the “we are all vocalist” statement. You see in the exchange in falsettos between Onew and Key in CODE, Onew’s and Taemin’s falsettos in Area, Minho’s true comfortable range in Kind, all their vocal runs in Kiss kiss, the power vocals in Atlantis, Minho’s and Key’s melodics raps and so many other instances of them complementing each other. The line distribution of this album proves my point, it is one of the most balanced I’ve seen and I believe it’s because they are all vocalists with such distinct voices that they didn’t need to compromise quality to achieve that. To me, it almost feels like an artistic rebirth in a sense. While TSOL is a love letter to Jonghyun and the songs were structured almost like to make you feel where his voice was supposed to be heard, I don’t feel the same in DCM/Atlantis. I felt that they filled the empty space by changing the structure of the song, changing the roles of each member... instead of a bridge and high notes with add-lips they went with a bridge that ended in the middle of a harmonious chorus and so on... the roles each member would fill became more fluid and less predictable... They never replaced Jonghyun or forgot about him (because duh.. he is irreplaceable and unforgettable) and that’s one of the reason why Area is so important and significant but they made something new with the vocals in this album and it’s very much centered on the four of them leaving their comfort zones. The whole album felt like a celebration, a reunion after so much time away... and also delivering promises and making new ones… without ever forgetting the past. And that is not easy… that they managed all that so beautifully… We, shawols, are so lucky! Sorry for the long comment and I hope I was able to explain my point without making too many mistakes. English is not my first language so I apologize in advance! PS: They presented all the songs on the DCM album on Beyond live except Body Rhythm, Area and Days and Years.

I feel like a lot of Shawols are more mature about Shinee's personal lives because they're an older fanbase so even if Shinee members aren't announcing their relationships, who they have dated, or specific details they wouldn't be too scared about answering those questions honestly. I forgot where but on a tv show in 2016 Onew openly answered a personal question by saying that he was secretly dating someone two years prior.

I’ve been waiting for shinee to date and I see shawols in my timeline too when there’s a dating news in kpop we are all like “shinee can’t relate” 🤣 they surely dated or even currently dating who knows but since there’s no news about it then we are kind of like “shinee can’t relate” especially when dating news came out one after another but no shinee related but seriously I’m the type of fan that will support them whether they date or get married, even when I started stanning them way back in 2012 I never had any thoughts that they aren’t allowed to date, I’m talking for my case as long as they are happy and their partners makes them happy, as long as they are with people who are with them bcoz they love them for who they are and not for their money and fame anyway they’ve been through a lot and they showed and showing shawols how much they love us so I guess giving them freedom is the least that we could do to make them happy. I WANT LITTLE SHInee grandkids!, well as any fandom there are fans that doesn't know their place and reality and certainly wont admit them dating. Years ago Jong suffered cos he was dating and actress, it was sad and bad, also people hated Taemin and Naeun in the program WE GOT MARRIED, etc. But I believe and actually see how much the fandom has matured along with the boys and only want them to be happy with their perfect half and enjoying a healthy life.

Shawol are in majority mature so some of lyrics are too 🥰 and we appreciate all theses hoes anthem 'cause it sounds good tho' Jonghyun was the first in shinee to throw some mature lyrics, Taemin was too shy for it at first but Jjong cheered him a lot and told him to do anything he wants, to not be scared about people. And I'll be so thankfull for that cause Shinee gaves us so much differents contents as a group and solos ( ballad, rock, soul, R&B, Hoe anthem, sexy songs etc...) I recommend you to listen She is album from Jonghyun and watch live stage of moon 🥰 'Cause I personally think that Jjong is the master of sensual and sexy vibes in Shinee. In the whole DCM album, my fave section is from Code, I Really Want You, to Kiss Kiss. And the last being my most fave because of the adlibs and background vocals, and harmonies they were doing in the song. I mean , Wow. I can't represent all me fellow shawols, but this is how I feel that a shawol who truly know and love them should be like. At the early era, Jonghyun suffered because of his dating news, it took about a month for fans to realize their happiness is the most important thing. 5HINee and shawol are together for this long, especially after 2017, I believe we all learned along the way, as long as we are healthy, doing things that make us happy, as long as we are together, nothing else is important.

I enjoyed watching your reactions everytime! Do you know that they often appear in variety shows and are actors too? Onew acted in 'Descendents of the Sun' as a doctor and I love how sweet he was towards his wife. He went through an emotional ride in this one and you will find yourself being immersed in his emotions when he is happy/sad. Now, he is part of a variety show titled 'Sea of Hope' and if you love his voice, this show is perfect. He did so many covers with his angelic voice and it is so soothing to listen to. You can watch him bake and serve customers as well. Let me tell you, even the customers find his smile pretty. He has such a humble personality. Key is now in Amazing Saturday and I Live Alone. If you want to watch his sassiness, try Amazing Saturday. He will dance to songs and he will show you what he is capable of in terms of fashion. He dresses up every week! For I Live Alone, you can see his "mummy" personality towards Taemin, his neighbours, his military friends and to the I Live Alone members. He is such a thoughtful person despite his strong front. Taemin previous variety show was "We Got Married" with A-pink Naeun and let me tell you, he was so sweet, adorable and romantic, you gotta watch it. You can really see that he sincerely loves and care for her, you can't help but to ship them both. Minho is really good with kids. You can't help but to smile everytime! Try to watch snippets of his video in 'Return of Superman'. He is such a sweetheart and definitely a father figure. Seeing his dimples, I can't help but to smile. I became a Shawol this year too after 'Don't Call Me'. I love their songs when I was younger but I was not a fan, fan. After their comeback, there's just something about them that keeps me coming back for more. I find that I can't have a bias, they are all charming in their own way. I find myself loving them more after I found out about their actual personality. Being new to Shawol fandom, I am actually quite supportive of them dating. It's their life and they deserve all the happiness in this world. They deserve it because they are all amazing individuals. I will be so happy for them and I will always be a Shawol 🥰

I didn't see anyone mention this. Back around Hello Baby era and after that, Dispatch released the news that Jonghyun was dating an actress named Shin Sekyung. I remember there was A Lot of backlash from the fans, of course I'm sure there were probably some who were happy for him but the reaction of the fans really effected Jonghyun. I think the first schedule that SHINee had after the news was a fanmeet in Taiwan, Jonghyun cried after the fans did a fan event in support of him. I don't remember if he apologized to the fans or not, please take that with a grain of salt. What I want to get across with mentioning this, is that fans were definitely more unwilling for SHINee to be in relationships at the beginning but I think fans now are more open to them being in a relationship. Well minus that one Taemin fan that appeared as a guest on Hello Counselor when SHINee appeared as 5 in the Sherlock era

I really want to believe in what some shawols on the comments are saying, that they want them happy, that they don't care if they date or marry someday, but maaan, i'm an old af shawol, I've seen what these guys went through over the years... Fans made Jjong's life a hell when he announced he was dating; when Onew was seen on a date it was another hell, he had to deny everything; when Taemin was on that show where they pretend to be married, the fans were so upset with his "fiancée" that their season had to be canceled ASAP; fans harassed their stylist because they thought she was dating Minho (and using the poor and innocent baby), when in fact she was engaged to their other stylist (they even got married); and so on...

As a longtime Shawol, especially when Hello Baby was on, I think we all have been hoping for the day that SHINee members have families of their own. Especially Minho, he’s so so so good with children! I personally think Jinki could be a great dad as well, & he seems to be warming up to children much more now than when he was younger (he was terrified of them).

Love your reactions. Watching and listening with you all feels like spending time with friends that get you 😁 Shinee's music just sends me. They were the first kpop "boy" band I ever loved. I'm a forever shawol. I'll always root for them 💙 Oh and I want my idols to date, marry, and have kids. I want them to be happy and I'm a midzy, taemint, shawol, exo-l, and Nctzen. Two of my idols from two of my fave groups were rumored to be dating and I was so excited for them, but you are right some of the fandom members acted cuckoo they got death threats even. Idols share their talent with us and bring us joy. The least we can do is root for and support their happiness. Happy people flourish and are more productive so if we want them around for years to come we should want them to have happy balanced lives💚

I believe that most Shawols specially international Shawols would fully support all SHINee members if they announced that they are dating or want to get married. After all they are humans like us and have all the right in the world to love and be loved by someone special. About the whole dating and marriage thing: honestly whatever makes them happy. If they want to date in public or get married or if they want to date in private without anyone knowing or if they just want to be single and just date around like all those options are fine and every fan should be cool with whatever route they choose. I personally think fans who don't want their idols to date are just as strange as fans who real life ship their idols. Like these are real people and their love life isn't for anyone's entertainment. (obviously I mean the real hardcore shippers who know no boundaries like joking around and having some harmless fun is fine) I'm Taemin's age and ofc I'm dating I just personally don't see marriage in my near future tbh 😅 Maybe some of the boys think the same or maybe some are already searching for the one to spend their life with (or already found them)! To answer your question about them dating; Shawols are a pretty chill fandom so most fans don’t have a problem with it. Back in 2012, Jonghyun was dating an actress. Onew also has had girlfriends and dating rumors. Taemin was even on a show where he married an Apink member. Plus with all their lyric references, ages, and songs, I’m sure they are currently dating rn :)

I hope they marry, if that's what they want. It honestly feels like it would be cruel if Minho didn't get married and start a family, because he's so good with kids. They're all good with kids but Minho especially is one of those guys who you see with kids and it makes your ovaries hurt. Although I had seen something earlier this year that like some fan talked to Minho's dad at a soccer match and evidently his parents have given up on seeing grandkids from him any time soon because they think he's prioritized his career? I forget where I saw that. It made me laugh, anyway. If they wanna play the field for awhile, or get married, power to them. I think most fans just want them to be happy. Life is too short.

Regarding them dating and stuff i just want people to know that being married and having kids does not always equals happiness, i don’t care what they do with their personal lives, be it getting married and having kids or just being by themselves, i just want that whatever they do they’re happy. I find really annoying when shawols pressure them to get married or have kids already the same as i also find annoying when the fans don’t like it if they date. Just leave these men alone, their personal lives is non of our business.

i agree, you dont have to be in a relationship to be happy. people seem to equate both with each other. it's best to support them with whatever they decision they make as long as it makes them happy, i'll be happy too. we should let them know we will support them no matter what they do, marriage or no marriage.
