On the Tom Jones Show he had in the 60s/70s, he had on virtually EVERYONE who was anyone and sang with them, and much of it can be found on youtube. Duets with ....well.. look at the guests. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/This_Is_Tom_Jones this particular show was 10 months before Janis's death.

Tom could do "black music" because people didnt understand a Welsh white man with a natural who sang soul and could dance. My mother like half the women in the USA would have hooked up with him in a hot second.

He has said he has no fear of singing with other people. You can do that when you have the power of Tom's voice. Others shy away from the fear of appearing lacking alongside other singers. Tom also said he loves all genres of music, and that is one of the other reasons he has performed with so many other singers. Elvis considered Tom one of the best singers that he had come across. He would go nearly every night to Tom's shows when he was performing in Las Vegas.

his show was a lot of fun, he sang with so many people, this duet was my favorite. He sang a duet with Ella Fitzgerald one of the greatest blues/jazz singers. The duet is with her when she was older and she had diabetic issues which is probably why they are sitting. I was so fortunate to see her 2 years before she passed. She still could sing.

That was one of the amazing things of the 50s, 60s and 70s. You could bring artists together in variety shows. It was still for the love of the music and the fun of the performance. Egos were set aside and huge sums of money were never demanded. Those type of shows could never take place today. The Muppet Show was the last show that was able to do it.

Many young people out in record numbers protest music. People of today don't react to politics of the day like they used too. This is why we have a torn political system. Can you believe network TV used to have shows like this? Tom Jones, Sonny and Cher, and the Smothers Brothers all had live shows that featured the rock stars of the day.

One of my favorite duet videos of all!! Tom Jones was my first concert I had seen when I was a little girl. use to watch his weekly variety show singing in to a spoon and dance it in front of the TV at 5 years of age, I also had the opportunity to see him in person during that time in a an area in NJ today known as PNC center. I remember like it was yesterday that I was able to go up to the stage, he asked me my name (I had a lisp)“ 1970 at 7 years old and Tom approximately 30) and he wiped his sweat off in a napkin and gave it ti me. I thought that was the greatest!! I had another opportunity to see Tom Jones when he was approximately 70+ and his voice was/still strong and my friend who had surprised me for my 40+ birthday had an amazing time (not knowing what to expect at one of his concerts (bra’s and panties flying over head lol she was amazed). He is a legend and with me turning 55 next week, he is my #1 favorite artist/entertainer of ALL times and I have been exposed to many different genres of music in my life. Congratulations on a great you tube show, which I found 2 weeks ago. Many of Blessing to you both!! Tina from NJ

You should react to "If I only knew" by Tom Jones. This is, without a doubt, one of Tom Jones's most underrated songs. It's a wonder that it should always be on the lists of his best songs.
