Please excuse the re-up of this session. The original upload was absolute trash and only good for the bin, so I deleted it...forever!
So, I visited the beautiful, White Springs Fishery, in Swansea for the first time for a 24 hour sesh. The weather was hot. The fishery had re-opened after spawning the day before we arrived.
I started chatting to a guy two pegs to my right (who happened to fish for Preston) to find out where his lines were set out before I cast. Unfortunately for me, he was fishing the corner of the island off to my right. Gav, was fishing the corner of the island just to my left and I started the day a little deflated not having an island to fish to. So, I went with one rod in the right hand margin and the method feeder in more open water while dropping bait in the left hand near margin for later. Around the area of the method feeder I scattered small amounts of pellet and maggot to try get fish down if they were there
I saw Carp boshing in swims that were taken opposite me occasionally but I'm not rude and don't cast into peoples swims. I didn't see a single carp cruising all day. I suppose I just wasn't on the fish and had to suck it up or make a change. I decided to put a float on so I swapped the method feeder to a float leaving one bottom bait out in case any carp decided to pass. I haven't shown all the silver fish caught in the video as I think you'll get the point, but it made the day so much more enjoyable. It took me back to the old days. There is nothing more exciting than seeing a float bobbin up and down or taking off no matter how big or small the fish on the other end may be.
I did land one mirror carp off the surface late evening followed by a lost fish in the night.
Without a doubt this place is a fantastic, clean & tidy venue with multiple lakes and species to fish for. I will definitely be going back as it has a lot of potential for some bigger fish.
My next upload will be more focussed on targeting a specific species so please consider subscribing, if you haven't already, to get notified of that upload.
Thank you for watching, and I hope to catch you again soon.
PEACE!
