beautiful river, I thought Scotland had the most dramatic and picturesque scenery but that was really cracking, plus the fishing was exceptional, you had loads of sport. This is exactly the type of fishing i want to experience when I visit the States.

I really like your videos , dont even mind the cussing at all. I would do the same. Smallie fishing is so fun. Especially when you catch your own bait , switch hooks and then fish.

I grew up fishing in Pa. We caught our own minnows using hooks, switched out the hooks and then fished. It is really fun doing it like that. And what I would call the most true fishing.

You dont need microgear. Just a medium action rod with 6 even 8lb test. Use a size 14 hook, little bits of nightcrawlers and fish kinda like trout fishing. Just use the rod length and what u can pull back of line and release. its like a yoyo effect kinda. Fill the mini bucket sometimes as fast as an hour. Switch hooks to a size 8 with small splitshot and hook the minnows thru mouth and nose. Just cast smooth so as not to throw them off. Smallies need a minute to turn the bigger minnows head first so remember that. Omg its so fun and real....

Can just wear shorts or chest waders for it all. I usually fish the minnow just before dusk and in the early morning. Midday bites are always tough, especially if your in boots.

The minnows are good sized, super nice like 4-5 inches. Just saying it will be a very memorable experience. If you have interest let me know and we can take a trip to Pa. Fish the Allegheny river, I know a few terrific places to do it all.
