Have you ever tried raw bacon for flounder? Up and down the east coast it is often used,underwater photography has shown fish coming off the bottom and chasing. The assumption is the scent trail or maybe they don't like pig. Who knows,enjoy your videos,good fishing.

When I was 21 I was down at Oak Island N.C. and fishing for flounder from a pier and hooked what everyone thought was a good size Flounder. After everyone came over from the other side of the pier it turned out to be a Ray. It was like I had the measles or something the way all the guys turned and skedaddled back to the other side of the pier.

Watching the flounder swim back in is so cool! They are such an amazing fish, and they taste delicious too 😊❤️

You're a darn patient fisherman brother but I guarantee that I would be measuring every single fish and. if it was on the line it would be dinner. Flounder tastes good and I am straight up a carnivore 😂❤

Until I started watching these fishing videos I had no idea sharks were so close. Go Pro vids have made me a little freaked. We go to Florida and Texas all the time on vacation. Eight foot tiger sharks meters away where we play. Wow!

Have you ever tried spinner baits? Or do the fish you go after prefer bouncing the bait off the bottom?

Plenty of doormat southern on the east coast, you're normal 16 inches are small compared to what hangs out out here

What’s the easiest way to tell a “gulf flounder” from a “southern?”
@rdecook651Ай бұрын
Seems to me that you should have kept that one you caught with your other lure in it. It won't be able to "pass" it. It will probably die. Am I wrong! .... P.S. why don't you put some marks on your rod to measure, or carry a tape measurer!
@armandplaisancejr8937Ай бұрын
I was thinking the same thing about keeping that flounder.
@randybedker1584Ай бұрын
They tell you if you can't get the hook out leave ìt in and release it. Because fish produce an acid that will devolve the hooks. Usually within a week or so. So no it fine to release them with a hook left in. Just like if a fish breaks your line the lure desolves.
@bonnierust8850Ай бұрын
Iphone to measure? There is a much better,handier, and more accurate method to do that. That drives me crazy. Walking the beach fishing is a great time to time out from the IPhone. Still love the videos!
@dougwalker4944Ай бұрын
don't understand the difference between Flounders. ..they look the same to me.🤔 ..mark your sticks from the butt end of the pole with coloured tape... different coulour for each species, quick reference to legal or not.😼 🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏 ....oh, btw, how's the boat?
@randybedker1584Ай бұрын
You should measure the lenth of the butt of your rod and you can use it to measure with. Or the distance between the guides there are lots of things on a rod to use for a measure.
@gregmauldin9026Ай бұрын
You should measure from your fingertips to your elbow, so you'll always have a measurement
