Another theory might be is that he is in a heavenly restriction, or atleast a binding vow in which he has to overcome in order to use cursed techniques

I’m really hyped to see how much Gege plans to develop the cast further into the story, seeing as he has hinted to the potential character development they have (Maki, Choso, Kamo, Miwa, etc.). The story has picked up to speed again and can’t wait to see what Gege is cooking (needa a Heian period arc rn) Kenjaku has been establishing his place as a major antag, which is nice to see coming from Mahitos dynamic with Yuji and I hope we get another interaction between Yuji and Kenjaku. Yuji has had much of his development come directly from the antagonists he’s fought with and him meeting Kenjaku would be a huge boost for his character.

I've always liked Yuuji, but all his character moments after Shibuya have just reached new heights for me. I do not get some people's arguments that Megumi completely overshadows him, especially after their respective major culling game fights. The dive into Yuuji's mental and emotional state in his fight vs Higuruma is one of the highlights of the series for me, and even with the recent chapters I do not think it's over for him. I may get burned for this, but I have such high expectations for Yuuji's character, and I can't wait to see what he does next. Right now I'm really hoping for a confrontation with Kenjaku, and the full spec reveal of what exactly Yuuji even is, as his creation.

@@samuraitadpole5459 Fr fr I still can't get over how Kenjaku calls the death paintings failed creations and doesn't want to acknowledge them but he calls Yuuji his son and even acknowledges one of his friends. Not to imply he has any affection for him, but it's clear to me that Kenjaku created Yuuji AFTER he realized his mistake with the death paintings (putting only himself into his creations means their potential can never surpass his own imagination), so Yuuji is different somehow and might have that chaotic element. I think that other than a "cage" for Sukuna, Yuuji isn't fully human and might be a proof of concept for Kenjaku's ultimate plan with Tengen, cursed energy, etc.

The best thing about JJK is how it sets things up, like every plot twist has a buildup. Maki's transformation was set up with Toji and the concept of Heavenly Restriction. Or how end of Toji arc led to Kenjaku's plan. Also how the tropes are handled. For example, Gojo. He is the strongest but he's not omnipotent, and JJK does a great job in showing how you can beat the strongest (anti-Gojo curtain in exchange event, distracting Gojo for a instant which is equal to minute of time in Gojo's mind)

I was at first skeptical of Jujutsu Kaisen, felt like another standard shounen with a teenage/high schooler protagonist that just happens to be the most OP in the verse. I enjoyed the first season but still didn't expect much from the series. I could tell it took ideas from other series, especially Bleach - domain expansions feel a lot like bankai - but that didn't make me scoff at the series or anything, just made me feel it probably wouldn't be entirely groundbreaking. My one friend then begged me to read it, and I finally caved after a while. I got caught up on the manga probably in december and have been following the chapters as they come out since. I don't know what changed with Akutami's direction and ideas but the Shibuya Incident is one of the best arcs in any modern shounen and had me fucking hooked, completely different than the first few arcs and hit so good. I seriously don't think I have ever read a fight that filled me with so much hype and emotion before or since I've read Yuji's final fight with Mahito. Jujutsu Kaisen is my personal favorite shounen (not fav manga, just fav shounen), and Yuji Itadori is one of my favorite protagonists of all time.

I really enjoyed the series pretty much consistently up until the latest arc, and aside from a couple interesting characters, I have only really been reading it because it had been really good up until then, and I knew it would become interesting to me again at some point. With the latest chapter I'm finally invested in it again, although not nearly as much as I would have been if it hasn't taken so much time to get to this point (especially with reading it week-to-week).

People also disregard that the whole point of that character arc was for Maki to establish herself as her own person, separate from Toji and her teammates. Sukuna did say that comparing yourself to others stunts your true potential. This also foreshadows Maki will do something Toji can’t.

Everyone has their own head canon and theories, which is okay, but alot of those theories aren't making any sense. I just love Yuta because of how different he was from mainstream Shonen MCs. Calm and quiet, but also having a ton of emotional baggage that made him not sure he was supposed to be alive. But now in the Culling Games, he's gotten some awesome moments and they're really showing how much he has developed with him wanting to save people now due to the fact that he was once helpless and was saved. He's my fav character too

@@Itsreag Shibuya Incident is 56 and S1 covered the first 64 chapters of the manga. Plus, Gojo's Past is a pretty short arc that can be condensed into only a handful of episodes like how the Death Painting Arc was. MAPPA can't just leave the audience hanging halfway through the arc. S2 needs a resolution, so it has to adapt the whole arc. Possibly even the Yuji Execution Arc as well so that all the events in Shibuya are resolved and so that the ending can setup The Culling Game for S3.

When i first watched jjk i thought it was pretty generic and took too many inspirations from series like Naruto, Bleach and HxH But as I've rewatched the series and got into the movie + having read the manga i can vouch it's definitely the best current new gen shounen, it has an amazing cast of characters like GoJo, Mahito, Yuta, Itadori, Megumi, Nanami etc plus the way the story doesn't waste too much time in introducing the characters and rather creates high stakes moment to keep you hooked and entertained is praise worthy I love the direction it's going in as well tbh and i trust gege to deliver with the series, once season 2 is animated as well it will have another major hike of fans especially more so now after shibuya incident is animated I'm really looking forward to the future of the series and how it concludes as well, it deserves all the hype it gets compared to a lot of other shounen nowadays

So, you don't fear the stakes. Like we all know he will defeat Kaido and IM in the future. There's also the mysteries that need to be solved, it's not just fighting but more about adventure. While, JJK is about fighting (The title literally means Sorcery fights) and we don't know how things end and just what is the end? so, there are high stakes.

Jujutsu kaisen has done smth not many other shounen have done well, the MC isnt too OP... Sukuna IS OP, but not it itadori, and what I loved about their "relationship" is thst itadori, on more than one occasions has felt deep hatred towards Sukuna and the other curses saying the "you are all curses, after all" line. This to mee serves to establish a quota: yuji will never have the same relationship with sukuna as, lets say naruto and kurama. Sukuna will have to be defeated, placing him clearly in the antagonists arena. So on the other hand you have a broken jujutsu society with a devastated hero, lacking the strongest sorcerer who is currently tacked away as to not one shot everyone, and on the other hand you have sukuna and fake geto, plus the amazing plot twist where there are actual laws hunting our heroes down. The jujutsu society is crumbling from inside and outside and, as of the latest chapters, itadori doesnt even control sukuna anymore. Never has a manga of this type made me wonder so much what is going to happen next, in a good way. Not making the MC the strongest is smth everyone needs to do. Because the stronger your MC is the strongest and more ridiculous the antagonists need to be, forcing the plot in one direction. But here, the level of the bad guys was established day one. "sukuna is the worse it can get" and "gojo can beat sukuna even at his strongest" not the mc, but a secondary character kept the balance. Then you spend the manga getting your MC to rise and get rid of the factor that kept the balance and things just keep getting worse... I just love it. Nothing is certain. When I read Bnha I know deku will beat the shit out of shigaraki. Here, I assume it, but nothing shows me how so I dont know it. If they end the manga in a year like it was planned, it better be the best year of shounen history cuz I dont know how they will condense so much story in 50 chapters

Jujutsu Kaisen is a shounen phenomenon, it’s very rare a manga this captivating comes out, manga such as chainsaw man and blue lock and even sakomoto days have their phase and then fade out but Jujutsu Kaisen is here to stay.

Um the CSM manga community has not faded and likely never will. Tatsuki Fujimoto is a trailblazer for extremely cinematic feeling manga that are surprisingly dark and deep for shonen jump

The interesting thing is that important good guys don't actually die in Shibuya. It's pretty much just Nanami and ambiguously Nobara. Naobito also bites it but he was hardly an ally. Readers leave with the impression that it was some sort of bloodbath but it just wasn't.

the difference between a good show and a great show is that even tho a good show might start better it does so without setting up or gaining any momentum. a great show starts good while setting up the future. jujutsu kaisen is one of these shows and mob psycho, deathnote, baki ande code geass are not. these are shows that are greater at the beginning but get surpassed easily later. right now we are still in the jujutsu setup in the anime so all the copy allegations should not exist because we are still taking our time to setup
