Use the vaccuum pump to power the brake booster as well the brake will feel more consistent

i have the g6r 6speed, its perfect for my needs, reving to 7200 and shifting right into power again. it is also same ratios from 1st to 2nd rest is longer, my car had the c150 stock :)

Does that ecu do blended tuning or are you planning to only use the map sensor? Pro tip: the tps vs rpm(alpha-n) tuning will be better than a strsight map tune on ITBs, the issue is that there isn't enough volume in the"plenum "(space behind the throttle plates) so depending on rpm, your map sensor will read atmospheric pressure at only 2-10percent tps depending on the size of the throttles. I started using the" ITB mode on my ecu, its hell to get right but it will drive like a stock car. It uses itb load point graphs and blends the map for fueling under lower loads and tps for higher load accuracy. When you hook up the vacuum pump you should put a vacuum gauge to it, just incase. Too much vacuum is bad, you might need a bleed valve in place of the pcv and the other breather to the vacuum pump. I'm running one of those usdm MOROSO crank breather kits that use a venturi and check valve to the exhaust, I haven't had a chance to measure the vacuum (gauge broke) so I'm currently using it in place of the factory setup that would have used the intake to evacuate the fuel vapours and reroute them into the intake to be re-burned. My soliel a came with a c150-672 that had a 3.535 final drive, I swapped it for a different c150 that was mated to a 2E-L and it has a 4.312 final drive, its great, but now the car feels like it needs a 6th for cruising so the C60 or c160 is the end goal 😁

The Microtech ecu has both modes, but you can only use one or the other. It doesn't work very well with TPS only but this next idea is my only hope. The vacuum pump isn't very big so hopefully it doesnt pull too much, I'll keep an eye on it 😁

@@MattBerrymotorsport if the tps/alpha-n mode isn't very good on the setup I'd wager the ecu isn't very good for the setup. 😣 As much work as I put into my blended itb tune, I miss the sharp aggressiveness of the alpha - n tune, the only down side was it would cruise rich due to the fact that the cruise area is part of a transition for general acceleration, luckily it wasn't as bad because there's an option to enable a multiplication factor based on map to the table making it a hybrid alpha-n. Honestly if I didn't have such bad luck with my o2 sensor I'd go back to alpha-n

Having the dyno graph and knowing the gear ratios and FD it’s rather quick to plug the numbers in to excel (or even do some hand calcs) and get the output torque graph vs rpm in every gear. Based on that and also knowing the rpm drop in between gears, you can do some backwards calculations to determine the shift points for each gear (yes, it will very between them) to hit max output torque in the next gear. Bet you will find a small edge there. Works great for track racing. 👍

Great idea mate I will check it out. 😊😊 It was really surprising at the drags last year, Mrs was driving, car was revving to 8K and ran a mid 17... Took 1000 rpm out of the rev limiter and it went over 1 second faster lol

Keep the videos coming Matt! Ive got a Corolla G6 6 speed box i want to fit to my ep82 at some point. I was hoping to use a lsd from a Toyota Mrs/mr2 roadster. Just not quiet sure if it will be a straight swap and fit the gt shafts. I had a g6 box in a td05 starlet about 13 years ago and it was great, it just needed an lsd though.
