I saw that in his VOD, I think he'd _just_ been talking about how max Clank wasn't dangerous enough to incentivize blocking Clank and/or avoiding shriekers. The timing was perfect.

Hey Impulse! From your podcast I know that you get really competitive and hard on yourself. I wanted to say that tunnel vision is a natural instinct that has to be trained out of pilots and first responders daily. So it's not a personal failure! It just means that your body is so invested that it's responding like it's in danger. I catch all of your streams and watch your phasmo vods, and you're an absolute joy to watch, even your ragequits LOL You're awesome

I know it must feel really rough when you're streaming Decked Out runs and your entire chat is filled with facepalm. I really hope that you know that we're not hating on you in any way for having a bad run (most of us anyway). I think it's about the same as when you're watching sportsball and your team is having a bad game. Even when you're yelling at the tv you still love your team. We're just SO invested and want you to do well.

I feel your pain re the A/C breaking down. Mine went earlier this summer, and it was so old that both the compressor and the interior fan/heater had to be replaced. That was several days of NASTY Atlanta heat and humidity for me! I hope this is the last of the appliance hassles, and may the rest of your fails be virtual ones, so you can turn them into content for us to giggle at. Cheers!

I think the tunnel vision you get when you get into decked out will become less the more runs you do. You were missing a whole part of the dungeon on the first run that I just think you had never gone into before but it was only phase 2. I think X was saying that there is no way to really convey through video or stream just how scary it is in there especially when you've got a whole bunch of people and Tango watching. We believe in you, you got this :)

As people who have likely followed the progression of Decked out through development and also watched many runs, you have to remember you are privy to information many of them do not have. What seems obvious to you isn't obvious to them. I have the layout more or less memorized for example but they do not, many of them have only been in level two a handful of times and are always in their under stress and time pressure and aren't really able to quickly internalize the layout of the level. It took most of the first week for people to start becoming familiar with the first level, which they went through every run and is also simpler than level 2 in layout. I know it can be hard to watch when it seems like people are making stupid mistakes, but they're operating with a different degree of knowledge about the map than you are, so cut them some slack.

@@Ithenna But he was aware that, in general, the further one goes into the dungeon, the more dangers there are. @Ithenna
@Ithenna 7 ай бұрын
@@omnitroph1501 I mean, maybe if he were more familiar with the map so that he could stay hyper focused on the compass, sure. But he's not familiar with the map, and therefore has to take time to get a visual idea of his general surroundings, his adrenaline is rushing, and food has a very high importance for overall success in a level 2 run, so really, how can you fault him on skills for taking a second to grab some berries? Even Etho considers his first run on a given level an info gathering one more than anything else, and he's one of the most skilled players in DO.

Probably just the exciting bits and near deaths for the main and uncut for the 2nd channel. You may not recall from Decked Out 1 but the compass artifact drop-off spots aren't filtered, Tango has said it's just a house rule to only throw your compass in the spot it leads to. Well, here's my two cents: I like to see a Decked Out run or two. I mean, having watched Tango build it for over a year... And as a game developer, when you pour your life into building a game, you want to see people enjoy it. So yeah, it's okay to have the runs in there. Also, in the Decked Out part, it's okay to leave that segment of the episode a little less edited, because we are learning the game through our favorite HermitCrafters. I think that sometimes, things can be a little too edited. What I don't care for is, when it takes 3 weeks to make an episode of HermitCraft, and the episode is just Decked Out runs and that's it. I do see the Decked Out movies as different. With the movies, you're watching it to watch how well your favorite HermitCrafter does. (Kinda like watching your team's game on TV.) But, when you sit down to chill and watch HermitCraft, you're wanting to see the cool builds, and the awesome redstone, and well, HermitCraft shenanigans. Not, just an Intro then 150 runs of Decked Out, and finally, "Catch ya next time, this has been HermitCraft!" Because that's not HermitCraft - that's Decked Out. (Again, the Decked Out movies are different.)

48:30 Full runs, showing the deck before each run, any deck changes and including epiphanies or strategic thoughts/conversations. The only thing I'm not too interested in, is if you're literally standing still on top of a treasure spot to squeeze out a little more treasure before you head out. Ideally with a 5 second tease of clips in the beginning of the video, showcasing the most interesting part of the runs (without spoiling the conclusion) - e.g. the best artifacts you picked up, picking up your first L3 compass and/or the most tense situations you got into etc.

Man after Zed's montage of death by monsters, now I want a screen for how much they get killed by other hermits.

As far as using the respawn anchor wrong - both you and Zed filled the anchor with a bit of glow stone, but neither of you actually *set your respawn point* after it was charged. You gotta do both.

If you’re still looking for suggestions, I feel like edited Decked Out runs loose the proper fear and intensity that builds throughout it. I think you should put one (your favorite) uncut run in your HermitCraft episode and put the rest on your second channel.
