I agree on the ability to haul 4x8 sheets of plywood etc!! The looks?? I prefer the previous Ranger. The new one looks boring, especially when compared to the GM twins and the new Tacoma. That being said, I’m a Ford fan and will wait fully until I see one in person later next week, when I’m back in town. They apparently have one coming in for test driving. The pricing puts Ford as the most expensive midsized truck out there, just slight over Toyota pricing,,,. That’s a problem. Ford’s pricing of Kate is excessive compared to the competitors. Ram is worse, but not by much. Fortunately, here, there are rebates up to $14,500 CAD on the existing 2023s and I have seen as much as $4,000 on the new 2024. Dealerships are hungry for sales & competition is heating up to the point that they can no longer demand the stratospheric prices the place as MSRP! Whew! The discounts by the most aggressive dealers put the trucks back into perspective. Demand is still very high on the midsize trucks unfortunately. I’ll wait a couple years to see where things settle.

Being able to haul a full sheet of plywood got my attention, but still won’t consider buying one till they lengthen the bed to at least 6’, prefer it at 6.5’. The only thing Andre didn’t show with the lariat is the payload on that truck, the XL had a great payload for its size

On Pickup Truck Plus SUV Talk he had a video about how car manufacturers are using the technology in their vehicles to record your driving habits and sell that data to insurance companies. All the cameras and computers record how you drive, how many times you accelerate quickly, and brake hard and insurance companies use this data to determine how much you will pay for insurance.

Good thinking on launching the most popular cab & bed configuration first then later add in regular cab / extended cab with long bed
@Pesmog9 ай бұрын
In the UK the base model is the XL which is available with single cab, double cab and also with a bare rear chassis. The base model also has steel wheels and the same 10" base screen. The payload here is higher and varies between 2350lb and 2650lb for the base model depending upon if the single or double cab is selected. The Raptor is much less. The single cab bed length is 7'7" so when it becomes available in North America it possibly won't vary from that length. The towing limit on all versions here is 7700lb due to regulation, except for the Raptor which is 5500lb.

So, here're mine: I really love this truck design and the improvements they've made from the previous version, BUT, I ABSOLUTELY WILL NOT BUY IT unless it's offered as a SUPERCAB with a 6 ft. bed! We’re looking at Tacomas for my wife. Me being me, $45k for TRD sport with heated seats is crazy. IMO the best bang for the buck is the Colorado trail boss. Locally we can get a nicely equipped one for 41-42k. The Fords are at the bottom of the list compared to any of them. The interior really is beyond cheap feeling/looking in person compared to the GM and Toyotas.

I wonder how much the 2.7L 6cyl will add to the price of the Ranger as it wasn't available when I just tried to configure it. The Raptor would be a great option except the dealers will tack on at least an extra $5K just because.
