Thanks for answering my question. I think you misunderstood when I said "leave the hat", I meant leave it alone, don't upgrade or change it because it suits you perfectly. Love the show. 🤠

Toombul shopping centre has come to a end unfortunately 😢 After the floods in 2022 they decided to close it due to damage from the flood water. It’s so sad for me I have many memories of Toombul and it’s sad to see it go. What ever they put there will never be the same.
@vudu5vudu6 ай бұрын
Nice. Agree. Visited my Grandmother in David Street, Toombul from Sydney for many school holidays. Was there for the '72/3? floods. The creek was a Kilometre wide. Vivid memories of lizards, spiders and all sorts of wildlife on a nearby telegraph pole. My cousins still reckon I bring the rain when I come to visit!

There were bush rangers in se qld/ne nsw. There is an overhang where they hung out on the border in the Numibah valley. I can't recall the names, but did the walk along the border with a school group to their hideout a coupla decades ago. Who love to know more.

I used to live at Holsworthy during the Eighties. Among the Barbarians in NSW. 3RAR( paratroopers), we moved from Woodside outside Adelaide in 1981. Chilly in SA, more chilly in Moorebank and Liverpool during winter, now chilly up here in Two Head City(Ipswich). Getting old. Anyway, when you first said something about going to the Motherland, I immediately thought Holsworthy, where you once said you grew up. Could not believe that virtually everyday, I used to drive past the messy house on the garbage covered block on the corner of Moorebank Rd. where Ivan Milat and family lived. Used to drink at Viking Tavern where the bikie massacre took place. Loads of history. Cheers.

Question? Did any of those bike riders who passed you from behind ring any bells are sound any warning devices as they where coming up to pass you?
@JimCullen6 ай бұрын
Ringing a bell if you're just passing someone on a bike is a terrible idea. The bell on a bike should be used like the horn on a car: to warn of actual danger or to tell someone off if they're doing something irresponsible or dangerous. If they're just walking in a straight line and keeping left on the path, using the bell can actually _create_ danger unnecessarily because people act very unpredictably to it.
@chuckanoo14556 ай бұрын
@@JimCullen , that used to be the rule for riding bicycles. But after quick look on the Dept of Transport website, I can no longer see any reference to it.
@JimCullen6 ай бұрын
@@chuckanoo1455 it's never been a strict *rule.* They used to recommend cyclists use their bells, but they seem to have come to realise what a dangerous and harmful recommendation it was, so they're no longer pushing that recommendation. You'll still find it on some older signs on some shared paths, but I think newer signs don't say it either.
