Maaaate! Got me all nostalgic. Good to see our hard work all of those years ago has meant it’s accessible for others

It's definitely well used these days, I even noticed a tree that had fallen down and someone has used a chainsaw to clear the track. Spewing I don't have any of the old footage.

So cool and original dude. I'm new to bikepacking and have been getting lost in where to get started with a bike, brand, model etc. Love this idea. Feeling inspired for the end of lockdown. The channel's great, keep it up!

Cheers mate, This bike has been super fun and I'm so glad I didn't waste money on a new bike. When I got asked to go bike packing early last year I originally started looking at bikes that were thousands of dollars. I wasn't sure if I'd like bikepacking so that's when I made the decision to start cheap. I also didn't have thousands to waste. This bike might not be the lightest bike in the world but its definitely taken me on some rad adventures. I'm confident a new fancy bike wouldn't have made my experiences any more memorable. I can also confirm that this bike rides better loaded. It just flexes better and actually rides really smooth. I've recently put a new 1x9 groupset on it and the bike rides like a new bike. It's definitely a heavier bike but I'm ok with that. I'm counting down the days until I can travel out of greater Sydney. I'm so excited about hitting the dirt again. I'm officially obsessed with bikepacking now 😂 See you on the trails!

Cheers mate. This video is pretty random haha, I’ve done heaps of bikepacking trips on this bike and I love it. I’ve tried a few other 90’s bikes and I like my Raleigh a lot. Recently I’ve been riding an old Mongoose but I’m currently changing the Raleigh a bit and will be doing a trip on it next month. I’ve put 650b wheels on it and trying corner bars. It’s looking pretty cool! It’s not finished yet but it’s close.(been renovating my kitchen and have no time) when it’s done I’ll have a video of the whole thing. Here is a couple of photos of how it’s looking at the moment. drive.google.com/drive/folders/1Yrg5NSA_BGOFXkDs7n7jnfHC-GYIGIow P.S that swing was amazing 😂 Cheers

Mate came across your channel a week ago. Love it. Ill be honest I ride a roadie. But.. don't judge me yet LOL. I've just bought myself a trek Roscoe 7 that I'm going to use as my bike packing beast. Never been bike packing. Can't wait. Keep the adventures coming. Love it

Cheers mate, nothing wrong with rode bikes. I’ve never been into roadies but I’ve been stuck in lockdown for 3 months now and all I’ve been doing is riding on the road. I bought an old mongoose that I’ve been thinking about putting drop bars on, I’m keen to do some longer gravel road type trips and I think it would be cool. I just looked up the Trek, looks like an awesome bike for it. You will love it. I only got into bikepacking last year and it’s all I want to do at the moment. I’d love a proper bikepacking bike but it’s been fun doing it on the old bikes. Im slowly getting better and lighter gear and then maybe one day I’ll get a decent bike. As soon as lock down ends I’ll be out there somewhere!

@@AaronGale85 That is shit. I feel for you! Hopefully you have enough dollars in the bank to get through. Too many people live week to week and taking work away sucks! I’m a sparky in food manufacturing so I’m pretty lucky, our site has to keep running to make food. Very grateful to have a stable job right now. Saying that I’d love to quit and roam the country on my bike 😂 Stay safe mate and enjoy that first trip! Don’t pack to much like I did 🤙

That's awesome mate, I love hearing comments like this. I Getting out on this old bike is so fun and I actually think it rides better with a load. Its like the steel flexes and makes it smoother. Enjoy your ride 👍 P.S. I may have just bought another 90's bike. I couldn't help myself 😂

These are my favourite type of bikes. The type money can't buy you and you'll never see anyone else riding.

I’ve done a few bike park style rides (local single trail) on this and it definitely turns heads, it gets more of a look than the most recent and expensive bikes on the market. People think I’m crazy but as you said in your recent vlog, it makes you feel alive riding a sketchy bike. It’s great fun trying to survive a ride 😂
