I was looking at videos from NBA 2K15 and NBA 2K16 yesterday... and man oh man are those games the PRIME of 2K. Great animations, didn't look quick and arcady like the newer 2K's, very clean animations, skill gap. 2K15 and 2K16 was the sweet spot. NBA 2K19 was solid as well... NBA 2K has to return back to its glory days. Focus more on making a basketball game for those who love the game of basketball, instead of making a fortnite basketball game. NBA Live 19 is on the right track. They have the soul of a great basketball game. If they can build on this game, they'll make some real noise and rival 2K.

The thing I hated was how unrealistic it seemed in terms of graphics, models, certain movements and how stiff/slow the gameplay felt imo, overall I love the content live he to offer, the new sceneries, the clothing capsules, the free league, etc… they definitely need to make a next gen live game but they need a better engine when they do it

Problem with 2k23 is everyone can do everything, 6 9 meta, non locks getting pass steals with bronze interceptor, fade 3s, and the blowby cheese. They need to get rid of the current vs next gen games, make them the same game with better graphics on series x/ps5. Also cross plat needs to be implemented. Epic games litterally gave source code for this shit its not hard they just dont want to do more than copy and paste. 2k fell off bad after 2k20. 17, 19, and 20 were the best 2ks and held their player count longer than 21,22, and 23. Also add sbmm so people stop leaving rec games costing me rep since they forfiet. Or just make them ais.

I’ve been playing NBA Live 19 for the last 2 days since I’m level 40 in park and MyTeam and it’s definitely fun. Would seasonal build systems be in favor or an unfair factor in 2K? Maybe pie charts in season one, current build system season two, NBA player shades of season three, badge adjustments to ratings or attributes in each season, double positions PG/SG/SF/PF/C A seasonal gameplay resulting in your MyPlayers build title for the next season would kinda be an anticipation hype. Players builds should double with results. Maybe if I spent a season slashing, next season shooting, next playmaking all as a 2-way be a legend grind as an all around player to show a high bball IQ be rewarding.

2K should change the takeover system. A player usually won’t get “hot” for a minute and that’s it. They should make it like in COD where you get “smaller” perks/takeovers, and get the bigger takeovers when you play more. 2k24 idea... Learn from MLB the show... Every build starts at 60, increase attributes through your game play and tailored workouts up to 50/100 points per skill. The remaining 50 per skill is earned by unlocking badges so your badge choices determine your expertise. Thus player level up to 99 cost nothing. VC can be used to buy apparel items that can further increase specific attributes and must be worn in game for attributes to apply. Badges and Apparel can be carried over to new builds to help kinda like a rebirth. VC can also be used for your city look and transportation modes. Bottom line.... VC is not used to get your player to 99. If you're confused, check out the show. It's a perfect system in my opinion.
