@@teejay_live You're rolling the dice if you leave any optional mission until after the IFF (except Arrival DLC). There is a reason why your list has it after but it's more of an easter egg type thing and really you should just watch that outcome on youtube instead if youre curious after you beat the game. Safer to just consider the IFF as the point of no return for loyalty.

@@teejay_live Yeah, listen to Andy's comment. Whoever gave you the guide to do Tali's mission after IFF is trying to view a specific outcome for their own benefit, but it's completely not worth it to the overarching game, and has damning consequences.

@@MattRowland It can be funny to do Tali's mission after the IFF to be able to bring "someone special" if you catch my meaning. You're allowed 2 missions after the IFF and I think it won't trigger as long as you have loyalty missions in the log anyway

BTW, combat tip: husks and abominations die immediately in this game if their feet leave the ground, so Shockwave is extremely effective against them.

There are some easter eggs if you put off Tali's loyalty until after the IFF, but I don't really recommend them on a first playthrough, so doing Tali's mission now is fine.

@@teejay_livesniper doesn’t fit well with Vanguard’s powers anyway, Assault Rifle is a decent pickup if u struggle with far off targets but the Claymore is the highest damage shotgun in the game

@@Crescendobro True, but it’s always nice to have more options, especially if you’re somewhere with a lot of/any enemies that can’t be reached with charge. I might be a bit biased though, I love using the sniper rifles(I only did one playthrough as Vanguard just because I can’t resist using it. Avoiding the Infiltrator/Sniper class for me now is like trying to not end up playing a stealth archer yet again playing Skyrim. 🤦‍♂️)

@@coffeeveins I usually grabbed a Sniper for my Adept or an AR. I like how in ME3 you can equip any weapon so I often ran a Sniper + AR adept

15:00 regarding renegade / paragon - I really like that they got away from the good vs evil of the KOTOR games and found something that's more akin to personality contrast of every buddy cop movie. paragon is just the alliance poster child of by-the-book behavior and renegade is usually still good, just also being a badass, burn the rulebook, means-to-an-end type. Sometimes callous and shortsighted, but still "good". I mention because I see people afraid to use the "renegade" dialog option with crew, because they don't want to be mean. But it rarely is. Insensitive sometimes sure, but if you think of memorable lines in movies, it's usually the renegade character, more than the boyscout.

This is very true. Unfortunately, I’m mostly a paragon person type myself irl so I gravitate that way, but I am certainly tired of being afraid of some of the better renegade choices so I’m glad I finally came to that realization. This is a great perspective tho!

RIP to the reporter you left for dead in the VIP Lounge. Don't forget to upgrade the heavy ammo. Additionally, don't forget to change out your heavy gun in the menu before the game starts so that it reloads the heavy gun's ammo.

Good tip. The Cain “Nuke” launcher is a hell of a big gun, but it guzzles ammo something fierce for that “Kaboom!”, so any chance to refill is a plus. It only fires if it’s at or above 100%(you have just enough heavy ammo upgrades to top out at 150% here. Almost said you can just hit 200% once you have them all, but I think there might be 1 possible upgrade above that with DLC. Either way it’s late game before the gun can fire 2 nuke blasts without finding more heavy ammo refill crates). Since it eats that much ammo with one shot, being able to get a free top off just by pulling the change heavy weapon menu up before a mission helps prevent that old RPG player trope of being so fearful of wasting the big 1 use super potion/spell/emergency item that you never use it. Instead, the free refill from gun switches helped let a ton of players actually fire off the super weapon on missions(and have a blast doing so). After all, starting every mission with heavy ammo stash full guarantees at least one shot with it, and if you’re lucky you’ll find just enough ammo to reach 100% again before the mission’s end.

If you don't let Garrus kill Sidonis initially, you find out that he got captured by the Blue Suns and turned on Garrus' team to escape torture, and that he lives with the regret of his actions every single day. If you have a high enough Paragon score, you can then tell Garrus that there's no point in killing him, he's suffering enough as it is, and Garrus will let him go. Doesn't really change much from a gameplay perspective, just changes the after-mission conversation a bit.

So Thane’s species is originally from a desert world but they ran into environmental issues and were rescued by the Hanar. The Hanar used Thane’s species for jobs their jellyfish bodies weren’t well suited for like assassinations. However Thane’s species isn’t well adapted for life on Kajie: the Hanar planet which is mostly water/oceans, and prolonged exposure to the high humidity causes Kepler’s Syndrome in his species which is basically lung rot, his lungs eventually stop being able to absorb oxygen causing him to suffocate

About the Renegade/Paragon thing, actually it IS better to commit to one of them (Paragon delivers the best outcome, tho), however... some renegade here and there won't hurt much. You'll be alright as long as it is very sparingly done.

I would do Advanced Training again and pick up Reave, its an amazing power and it helps deal bonus damage to barriers and armor from range. I always pick Samara even if I’m doing a Renegade play through cuz its THAT good
