tbf, I don't think pendulums as a card type are inherently flawed, not in modern yugioh at least. Their biggest downfall is just the playable archetypes that have been "pendulums" in the past are all just combo decks, except for qliphorts, but the game was also slower back then, and MR5 killed it. There's definitely room in the game for a non-combo pendulum deck, konami just hasn't designed a good one yet (vaalmonica is unplayably bad).

I always love to see these kind of things! because I got top 16 at Dutch nationals with Tenpai while my friend got top 64 with his chaos thunder pile, and I honestly felt like he was the real winner at the end of the day , because he got his invite with his favorite deck. I'm not saying that I didn't have a LOT of fun with Tenpai either.. but it was a lot of fun to see him do well with his fun deck :) I personally never truly play the "best" deck for that reason after all.

man i feel you .... i like yugioh and i want to play but honestly the snake eye meta just makes me extremely miserable i dont want to play it and not alot of decks can consistently win against it if any at all and i keep seeing the same decks with their 1 card combo +4 hand traps in their starting hand and it just makes me want to quit this shit ...i was fine with most of the metas before but this is just ridiculously annoying

Congratulations on the top. I personally like Canon in the deck specifically against Shifter decks to make sure I can skip their turn and I use it for a one card Ostinato combo that ends on Bagooska, Bacha and Etoile for Bagooska lock and 2 card bounce. I like it better against matchups like Tenpai.

I was at German nationals as well using Melodious. I really liked playing Fur Hire Donner to remove any nib tokens or other stuff my opponents would put on my board. And it also removes itself so the board is free for Ostinato and 1st Movement like with protector of agents Moon

I've been playing melodious a lot recently, and I have some thoughts here. Maybe I'm just not a gambler but I really prefer prospy over desires in this deck. You have a lot of extra space to banish for it and it makes you even more likely to find starters. Also canon has been very important against shifter because it lets me make bagooska to wait it out

I've been playing the deck a lot as well, but I prefer desires over prosperity. Tbh between the 2 pot cards it's basically just personal preference. They both are there to access more cards from the deck, just with different upsides and downsides. For example what I found with prosp was that my hands became very predictable for my opponent based on what I grabbed and the lock conflicts with concerto draw, which sucks because now you're relying on that draw during the opponents turn, when it could be far too late for a hand trap to be effective, instead of having the opponents turn as a back up opportunity for that draw. I do like that prosp digs 6 deep into the deck to find ostinato, 1st movement, refrain or non engine directly, so it's definitely a good option, just not my preferred one.

It’s funny how Konami finally figured after almost a decade how to make pendulums work in a non-pendulum deck. Last decade if they gave a non pendulum deck 2 pendulums they would be unplayable, there’s not enough pendulums to consistently pendulum summon. But between this and Superheavy Samurai they seemed to figure out how to make a splash of pendulum work in a deck. Yet they can’t seem to make a pendulum centric deck work lol

Ich hab dich gesucht, und nicht gefunden, habe auch melodious gespielt und war so heiß darauf zu sehen wie deine deckliste aussah :( ein wenig chatten wär auch nice gewesen, aber die Halle war so dermaßen voll, da hatte ich auch keine chance ohne das Event gänzlich zu verpassen😂 ich muss sagen deine deckliste ist based, wobei ich finde dass small World mit nib und veiler als Brücke perfekt ist und als 4. Starter neben ostinato,solo und refrain viel zu gut funktioniert ohne iwie darauf zu bricken, diese Karte hat mir games gewonnen weil ich so Hand trap doubles aus der Hand in Starter wandeln konnte. Leider hab ich zu schlecht pilotiert und das Fehlen des einen oder anderen staples wie herold hat mir eine Platzierung verwehrt, aber das deck war klasse. Melodious ist einfach nur spaßig

My man about to get banned *again* for marked Pot of Desires 💀 (CONTEXT: Pot Collection cards have a thick foil on the front, similar to Hobby League cards, which caused them to be banned in certain tournaments due to potentially being marked cards due to the thickness difference. Josh was banned in 2020 for supposedly using marked Desires when in reality they were just very bent American copies)

Honestly your guys gave too much power to Herman. Gustavo Vilella won Brasil national 800 players with melodious against much better competition than Herman. Prosperity is away better, you said yourself, only have 9 real starters and 3 of them are broken (Ostinato), i don't know, my feeling is some players are given away too much attention for orange light, it's great, but it is costing, you ruin your deckbuilding with a lot set dead cards just to make orange light better? Doesn't make sense, i think we have to consider not playing orange light, why not?
