Can I just say OH MY GOD. I’ve been suffering with severe pain in my right hip and compression of L-5 S-1. I’ve tried everything from massage, chiropractic adjustment, PRP therapy, acupuncture, Rolfing, to meditation. Things might get better for a little while, but never for long. When it gets really bad, all the muscles in my back start burning, I can’t do the stairs, and a rib in the upper left side would pop out of alignment giving me chest pain on top of it. I went to another chiropractor last week who twisted my rib cage and tried to put my hips into alignment. Immediately the muscles on the outside of my LEFT hip spasmed and I limped out of the office in massive pain and in tears. I’m 56. I thought maybe this was just it for me. I would have to live life in pain. I just did exercise 2 in this video. I totally felt it where I was supposed to. I held it for about 90 seconds. I did that exercise 3 times. I just stood up WITHOUT PAIN on my right side. I’m completely stunned! I can’t even believe it. 😮 thank you so much! 🙏🏻 (now I have to figure out what is happening on my left side after the adjustment. I still have pain there.)

Stop getting adjusted! That's the problem. L5/S1 isn't causing pain that high up.

You need to look at this from two equations , instead of stretching and foam rolling and looking at the healing of the area , you should look at strengthening . Do things like Clam shell resistant band while lying on your side, hip flexor cable pulls, sit down on the ground and raise your leg individually over an object on each side, 90% of the time people have pain or tightness in areas such as the knees and hips is because there is a liability in strength and durability of the area, but we always think it’s because we need to stretch . Hope that helps 😊

Chair yoga would help as i have L4-5 disk bulge and osteoporosis with nerve compression, i had shooting pains but with exercise and massage, compression it will help you. Exercise is the best thing followed by using physiotherapy bands black is the hardest to pull and works muscles harder, and weights.Be sure to change them up and down so you dont plato. Weights are great for weightbearing, so all these three wiill help you.Take Magnesium and B12 and omega 3 choose a good brand not 7 seas. Vitamin d in winter if you don't get enough sun.

I heard a pop sound in my right hip a week ago while playing on the floor with my 6 year old and have been in excruciating pain from the hip down to my lateral right leg and tingling toes. I have tried stretching and watching numerous videos until I came upon your video. I can’t believe how much relief I’ve gotten just from following the steps with you. I just wanted to thank you for taking your time to share your knowledge with me and the public. I still have some pain but nothing like when I got up this morning. How often should I do these exercises? Thank you.

Thank you for all the videos addressing the left-sided pelvic tilt related issues. I've been struggling with lower back pain (probably triggered by a recent hamstring and then a knee injury) for about half a year, going to various physicians and physical therapists, doing a lot of exercises and stretching. Even though strengthening my core was not worsening my symptoms, it never really helped. Only after I started doing exercises you are summarising in this video I finally started feeling better. And it really took just a couple of weeks. So I finally got back on track and returned to my usual sporty lifestyle. I know I am not 100% yet but my body finally learned to recognise what was wrong so I believe it is just a matter of perseverance to restore my posture. Likely I will soon subscribe to your program because you really seem to understand what you're doing (take that from a scientist working in evolutionary microbiology). Keep up the great job and thank you again!

No2. helps me lots. It does the opposite of the "sit on the floor, cross leg over" stretches that are normally taught. The back of my pelvis is not a hard pivot point against the floor. This freedom of movement allows the SI to flex in the other direction. Thankyou for your simple, no BS instruction.

I played rugby till the last year of high school. I played a tournament for my club and got hit in the back. I've been on pain ever since. I was 16 when I woke up one day and couldn't feel my legs. I couldn't walk. Doctor said he couldn't really find anything, maybe it was just from the tackle. I don't know what to do about this back pain anymore. Sometimes I feel like snapping my back because I think it might relieve the pain. I'll be 32 soon, that's pain for half my life ladies and gentlemen.

I was in a similar boat post car accident, but mine was tremendous back pain (could not sit for longer than 10 mins) and sciatica. I never had the complete numbness or couldn't walk entirely however. I have written about my experience and the work I now do, it might help connect some dots for you in regards to further research. If you like, search up atheqsystem and read as many articles as you like. From my personal experience, chiro helped, PRI tenants (years back when I ran into them) helped some, massage helped some and also created some issues at the same time, acupuncture was hit and miss, and PT was generally the same. I spent a long time trying to figure out answers to my issues. It wasn't until I started realizing that I could not sense/feel certain areas of my body anymore (key muscular systems such as the obliques/glutes etc) that I started to have breakthroughs. I hope that my message is some small way can help you on your journey back to health. Wish you the best.

I don't have sciatica in form of compresed nerve roots. I have a medial protrusion of l4-l5 and l5-s1. And still have symptoms in legs when sitting. Try thiamine or b-complex(i use daily dose divided to 2-3 parts. Cuz when you eat 1 in the morning it will work for some time and then u will urinate it. Some might think benfothiamin (fat soluble) might work better but it isn't for me.

@@dominik_9619 how is a B vitamin supposed to stop your legs from twitching when the nerve is impacted by a disc?
@dominik_96196 ай бұрын
@@theonejmv not all twitching in the legs is caused because of nerve root compresions. My surgeon showed me my protrusion, which is medial(not to sides, straight backwards) and is 5mm. And the nerve roots were far from the disc. They can be affected by the inflamation but as he said: there are not only these nerves like on every picture on the internet. There are nerves inside the discs also that can be damaged. My nerve roots are free and I still have twitching in both legs when sitting. And a lot of neuropatic syndromes in other areas. And b vitamin helps calm down nerves and protects them. Google something about thiamine
