Hey Lecrae. I don't know that you remember this, but many many years ago my dad Clint (he's around 6'7") visited a concert of yours in Kentucky and spoke with you. He gave you some of his artwork which was a baby Jesus and Joseph was in the background and asked you if you could make a Pro-Life song, because my mom many years before knowing my dad had gotten an abortion. You told him a little about your story, but we didn't know everything until now. I don't know that you'll see this, but I just wanted to say my family is so proud of you for opening up about your abortion story. We are so thankful for the grace of God and we are so thankful that you came to recognize it. Much love! God bless! 🙏🏻

I admire your openness about your life as a Christian. Some Christians I watched growing up would never let people know how they were living. Which kind of turned me away from congregations. Congregations can be good though as long as you realize the most righteous are just as human as you, even if they are ashamed to admit their faults and gossip and look down on others. ❤ We need more vulnerable Christians.

Lecrae speaks on this in his other video in the "Deep End" series, it's titled "Why I don't hide anything". As leaders in high positions or in our everyday encounters we have the power to speak in truth. Our testimony is that power. Jesus gives us the grace to do this. And this is what we are all called to do. It's not the position or being known, in Misconceptions 4 Care states "you don't need the industry to know you if you know your dope" but we lack faithfulness. And I am speaking transparently, when you fall short so many times, and life shows the same hurt, you tend to turn away from. So something as simple as showing up looks like nothing to you, but to someone else it is exactly what was needed. Im grateful I grew up in NYC, it gave me the skin I needed, now I'm still in NY, and you can't take the city out of me. But this time I walk it with God. I can't please people, I will never truly please anyone, but when you do get in and bare with the process of molding, I'm not as "too much", "rude", and "disrespectful". I just allow God to destroy my flesh and speak through me. My mouth changed from reckless and impulsive to discerning with love and compassion. Love just doesn't look the same in the eyes of all. I learned tough love growing up in NYC, no filter. The only filter now is The Holy Ghost. God is control. The world is watching, and the devices have minds in control, attention and the ability to communicate with another without a device caught in the grip. We have a lot of work to do, but one step is "Unashamed".

I got ya, still got the same feelings after what I did to my ex girlfriend. I remember after my confessions (am a catholic christian, I mean I go to catholic church to make sense to confessions time), the priest which I was speaking with ask me a question like, "U KNOW WHAT, THE REAL QUESTION ISNT IF JESUS CHRIST; GOD WILL FORGIVE YOU ONE DAY BCOZ HE ALREADY FORGIVE YOU. THE REAL ONE IS, WILL YOU ONE DAY FORGIVE YOURSELF ?" Hopefully this one will make sense to you as I break my head at that time. Ure loved, stay blessed 🙌❤

Let's pray that no matter what path people choose that God shows His love and compassion for them still. And that they learn from their choice. I had an abortion when I was 18, and to be honest I had no real understanding of what it was all about except as they call T.O.P (termination of pregnancy), I was raised in the foster system, in and out of group homes, so I often think about today that choice I made. I am grateful for it today, because I could have been that same choice, and I also could have lost my own life. I was blessed with 3 boys, I miscarried 2 along the way, and I believe that one day I will see my child, and we will be brother and sister or sister and sister in Christ. I believe God forgave me, I need to forgive me. And this too I pray for Lecrae. We all need to be free in Christ. Not bound to the past. But it takes time, and support. The fact I had a y children after rape and molestation, and being sex trafficked, is a miracle. Thank you for your comment as well. I needed this, to free myself. I speak on my past and often cry in sadness, but I feel stronger today. God bless you.

I'm so blessed to be a part of this. Honest when I see these, and hear them, and then I just finished making dinner 😅 Listening to "Protecting my Peace", and some other bangers on my playlist, I am brought to Genesis 2:24-25 "Therefore a man shall leave his father and his mother and hold fast to his wife, and they shall become one flesh. 25 And the man and his wife were both naked and were not ashamed." Naked and unashamed is an actual thing, and a long with discernment and prayer we should all be careful. You are super strong, for this, and I don't know if this means anything, but I am MAJOR proud of you. To God be ALL the glory Crae. It is written 2 Corinthians 12:10 "10 For the sake of Christ, then, I am content with weaknesses, insults, hardships, persecutions, and calamities. For when I am weak, then I am strong." I'm on the deep end with you, i learned a lot in the wabi sabi part of the reconstruction. I Love you, and the ENTIRE movement. Much love to you all here.

You spoke about being cerebral, and also because of it, it made you believe that God was a "beat you down" type. I can relate. I can say that I was honest one day in prayer, and said to God, "I know what I was taught in fearing you God, and I know what your word says God, but what does fearing you look like for real" And although I wasn't ready for the answer, I am grateful to know what He meant, so when Tasha Cobbs says, "Gracefully Broken" You can definitely ID. I continue to grow every day, not because I want to be better than everyone, but I want to embrace the "new creation" I continue to become. I need people today, but I need God so much more. "Lean not on your own understanding" real ting dat", I remember when I was real about the condition of my youngest, and I embraced Autism, Dyslexia, and Learning disability, I was not okay with it, I thought I couldn't be a mom, I was damaged, I could not be loved, and my kids deserved better, I even though how I can find better for them. And I can tell you honestly tell you that God made living more worth doing. So, my evaluation with people, comes from a place where fear was God, and the repetition with every encounter was evident, because all I knew was a word that gave me an identity "You will never be nothing more, than a crack headed whore, on your back" (My Foster Mom) Now, I'm good enough for God the Father, Jesus and the Holy Spirit. I'm fighting fear today, with a line from the preacher in the Netflix show "Harriet", "Fear is the enemy, trust God entirely". I felt peace, because I know what Harriet experienced, and all I can do is just be still, and follow God. I am watching things I never thought would happen, and He is healing the places where trust died. God is EVERYTHING to me.

The whole issue with denominations is because of what you said in 4:00 : We want to show aspects of God in what we understand vs complimenting and MERGING those aspects and teaching each other. The issue with politics is that's what the enemy uses to divide us based on our own pride of viewing ourselves (ie: denomination/method) as the most Godly. One vid I came across (spoke about SSA) and the guest said something powerful: You'll never know unconditional love until you explain what condition you're in and release it. I had told a friend who left a bad church, but is still calling out to God, that he's one of the few who's helping me move forward with my faith and God used him. God uses the imperfect to call out the self-proclaimed perfect.
