3 years ago I was diagnosed with stage 3c colon cancer and told it didn't look good for me, I had major surgery, they took out almost half of my colon and nodes, then chemo therapy.. the two things I did to stay alive is first I trusted Jesus, second I did exactly what the doctor said!! I'm here today cancer free!!

I have a colostomy bag not related to cancer diagnosis. Living with it is not as scary as one may think. It has saved me life and I’m forever grateful! 🙂

It is getting to the point where you either have to know a dr or know someone that knows one and beg for an appointment. Its ridiculous they know your bleeding, am tired and its affecting your job yet cant get you in for 6 months.

They need to simply train more doctors and stop ✋🏻 imposing artificial limitations on everything essential. 🤓

unfortunately there's just so many people who need care and a smaller amount of doctors in specialities :(

Getting those polyps out is key. I had two removed. The age threshold for a colonoscopy should be lowered to save lives.

I have severe fatigue some months other months I'm ok. Still don't know what it is my blood work is fine my colonoscopy and endoscopy. My liver enzymes are slightly elevated but I have fatty liver. Recently the lymph nodes in my neck under my jaw have swelled in the morning and go down by bed time. I think it's lupus. Tests come soon.

Sounds like it can be you’re anemic. Also, lymphoma sounds likely. Advocate for yourself hard.

@HopeofGlory-qx4lk I'm not anemic blood work is great. I have hypothyroidism and I'm receiving treatment for that and so far blood work is great with that.

You are beautiful. I’m curious if your supervisor apologized for writing you up for being late, and did they hold your job for you? I think there’s more info about most cancers today. Best to you and your family! 🎉

Thanks for sharing your story. Glad you are OK today. Sounds like there may be a genetic factor in your family as other members had cancer. Your children will need to let doctors know that there is a history of cancer. They are actually pre-screening younger people now.

No chemo or radiation? That's probably why she's still alive.

I have to agree with that. Chemo and radiation in my opinion makes it worse down the line

Depends on how soon it’s found and what stage it is. My mom was diagnosed with colon cancer at age 68, early, she had surgery, no colostomy bag, and no lymph node involvement. She lived to be 87 and it never returned
