@@Ozarkprepper643 Wow sorry to hear that 3 wheel got you so bad man! The 1st time I ever saw a 3 wheeler was way back in my high-school years I rode Motocross and had an old Susuki TM 125, a guy was riding 1 and let a bunch of us try it out this was in 74 or so, and it was fast as heck but felt so unstable it was scary!! Years later I had a friend killed while riding a quad and she was a careful mother with responsibilities so not prone to riding crazy. Now these 1 wheeled things are taking people down in numbers.

Riding a OneWheel at a fly-in is quickly becoming one of the most dangerous manoeuvres in aviation! There's a Swiss company called United City Bikes making a lightweight folding E-bike called "The One", which is only 4.5lbs heavier than the small OneWheel "Pint" (27.5lbs vs 23lbs). Might be a good (safer) alternative for the aviation community. Heal up well Mark.

Sorry Mark for your injury. I broke my Tibia and Fib off a jump on a mx track clean off. They used 1/4-20 all thread 2ea. top and bottom on the big bone and used the cast as the fixture. Almost a "non union" where the bones don't fuse together. Was in some type of cast for 6 months and then a 2 piece plastic custom formed brace for 6 months. I ran to shock the bones into building a lot a calcium in the break when the doctor said I should. It will never break there again, beefy lump around that spot now. Leg is shorter by 1/4" but I'm use to it. Anyway hang in their. In my time off from work I would hang out at LAX and watch the planes come and go or go the LA harbor and do the same for the ships. You will find stuff to do.

Mark it's good to see you are keeping an upbeat attitude about the mishap. Get out the sketch pad and design something. ;-) The bummer is those sunglasses will not work with prescription glasses. From those I've talk to that use them say they are great. When I'm behind the wheel of one of the dump trucks at work for any time I grab my aviation headset for noise reduction... I can attest to the creases that can be left by prescription frames and a headset.

We didn’t need an accident Mike. Geeezzzz. Anything with one wheel isn’t a good idea for us older guys. I had a bad accident back in 83 and I dislocated both hips, one went out the back of my pelvis. Was in traction for 6 weeks. Didn’t walk to well, till I had a hip replacement. It was ok after that. Doctors told me, it’s highly important for the Surgeon to be meticulously clean. More so than heart surgery.
