Well technically Aang would be the strongest 2nd only to Korra for a time. They've clearly stated and made canon that using the Avatar state channels the power of ALL pervious Avatar's through the current one and since Aang was 2 avatar's after Kyoshi then yeah obviously he would be stronger. Korra would have been stronger up until Ravaa was destroyed and the cycle was started from scratch again.

Here's mine. Avatar: Korra. Canonically, each and every Avatar state is stronger than the last, which kind of makes Korra strongest by default despite lacking the Spiritual Enlightenment. The strength of the Avatar state is a composite of every Avatar who came before them + their own + a fraction of Raava's power. Or in Korra's case, all of Raava's in her Kaiju form. Some would single out Korra as in exception when Raava was destroyed, but in Season 4, she came back. Airbender: Jinora. Tenzin would take it in raw power, and Zaheer has the broken flight utility, but Jinora is spiritually the most gifted, and expected to surpass her father in the raw power department but the time she reaches adulthood. And youngest Airbender to receive tattoos; surpassing even Aang in that regard. Firebender: Iroh. People often overrate Azula's blue flames; hotter but not quite stronger. Iroh also has Jeong Jeong's ability to levitate without Jets. He also invented lightning redirection Earthbender: Toph Waterbender: Amon. Bloodbending without a full moon, and Chi sealing via Bloodbending. Strategist: Sokka or Varrick. Honestly either of them could work; fan theory like father like son. Martial Arts/Hand to Hand: Ty Lee Animals: Fang and Pabu (Dragons are the strongest flying companions and Fire Ferrets are good for rope chewing)

Personally I don’t think Sokka should have made the cut, Suki is more considered a weapon holder than a martial artist and she offers more when it comes to combat than Sokka does, Sokka’s teacher is also way more skilled than him (forgot his name) he is probably in his 60s or 70s and is still incredibly agile, more so than Sokka. Airbending should have gone to Jinora as well, she created and mastered spirit projection which would come in rlly handily for team avatar and is one of the few none avatar characters who can travel into the spirit realm without a spirit portal. Yakone is the most aggressive and probably strongest of the water benders but Amon has the special ability to take away someone’s bending just using his blood bending which I’d say is more impressive than Yakone’s abilities.

Let's compare Yakone and Noatak (Amon). Yakone has blood bending, psychic blood bending (blood bending without physical movement), & he could blood bend without a full moon. He was one of three known to be able to do so. Amon has blood bending, psychic blood bending, could bend without a full moon, & he could take peoples bending away! Taking peoples bending away is something only the Avatar is known to be able to do berough energy bending.
