The fight scene in this episode is actually insanely beautiful, the amount of effort put into the impacts and choreography is absolutely wild, not to mention this thing is 3D animated and doesn't even look it, I didn't even notice until it was pointed out to me

I'm a 16 year old Sonic nerd (have been one since I was 6....wow, a whole decade) and I'm hyped since I grew up with Sonic comics, shows, and movies (particularly the 90s Saturday Morning cartoons: Sonic Underground, Sonic SATAM, and Adventures of Sonic the Hedgehog, as well as Sonic X (came out in the 2000s), and Sonic Boom (came out 2011 or so), and the Sonic Archive comics, as well as the one Sonic x Mega Man crossover comic. Saw all these when I was 5-10 years old.) I went crazy when I saw Gerald's execution, GUN storming the ARK and killing Maria....The preview to the prologue of Sonic x Shadows Generations made me excited since the animation was so amazing, and Emerl made a comeback. Now that episode 1 finally released, I'm more excited of what's to come, especially seeing just how close Maria and Shadow were.

I like to hope they give Alyla Brown enough screentime as Maria in the movie! Because so far they only showed two scenes with her. The first I guess was one of Shadow's and Maria first meetings. And second is - she lays there on the ground unconscious.(dead) I'm really rooting for her to become a big actress after her performance in the movie, she's like a ray of light, and a fantastic actress for her 16! When it comes to this short, feels like events directly tied to events of the game. Seems like Time eater and Black Doom teamed up distort reality and break it apart. And first thing that changes - is peoples memories of different events? And then reality changes happen. My theory is that in the game Shadow would try and save Maria but because that change would imply further reality distortions he's probably just going to say final goodbye and allow Gerald and Maria to go back to their timeline. Another theory - there's also different version of Shadow from Sonic Adventure 2 events and he warns 3 of them about what's gonna happen on the ARK, by warning them he saves them in their timeline. But Maria stays dead in his. That's how I would write this. But we'll see what Ian Flynn cooked for us!

No it's the Time Eater that's doing this, may i also remind you that Maria is PURPLE the same colour as the TIME EATER. The more Shadow stays in this state the more the Time Eater is eating away at his existence, what Dr Eggman is doing is far too dark and the so called "im going to erase all my loses", it's consequences are finally being shown..

@@groudonor12pretty sure this is all doom. my guess is before the time eater attacks black doom was already preparing to return, then once it attacked doom took this as a chance to strike shadow. im guessing the purple you see is with lightning strikes? i think that was more for style, don't think its the time eater yet.
