@@EddieLoveDon King was a lifelong criminal, even did jail time for killing a man. The guy literally swooped in with a contract after Tyson’s old manager passed away. And while King promoted some of the biggest fights of all time, he also stole a lot of his fighter’s money through ludicrous expenses, legal loopholes, and just plain theft. He’s a liar, a thief, and a killer. And he still promotes fighters to this day.

This story is pretty cool, but too many people see this story and think Holmes was a villain of sorts. Holmes was Ali's sparring partner and learned alot from his mentor, when the time came and Ali became too old to fight Larry was the best heavyweight in the division but constantly lived in the shadow of Ali. Holmes became pretty bitter as he never received recognition and eventually Ali challenged him to their match. That was a loose loose for Holmes, he had three choices really. To avoid the fight and not hurt Ali but move deeper into his shadow as people will accuse him of being scared of Ali, fighter Ali and play nice to not hurt him and disrespect the champ or what he ended up doing, take up the fight and treat Ali like any other opponent. After the fight Holmes was pretty upset about beating up his former mentor of sorts and cried in the post fight interview. Eventually Tyson came into the scene after Holmes retired and received the recognition as champion that Holmes deserved but never got, like Ali he decided to come out of retirement to challenge the new champion and like Ali he got floored by the new young champ.
