This is an a bit of old video, but I'll comment for lurkers. I don't know why Marcel like so many expats claim that Philippines are big in tourism, and even bigger from Indonesia. It’s only on KZbin bubble. The reality is completely different. There are official goverment statistics data, and PH is below average for ASEAN countries. They are actually on 6th out of 10th place. Their tourism is on Cambodia level, which is the poor and small country. Tourism in Indonesia is the double size of Philippines, and it’s on the level with SG and Vietnam.

That is not unfortunate, that is correct. However, it is unfortunate that you are in the picture pushing this misguided sister into zinah (fornication). To blunt man between man. You should not convert to get what perceive as clean p***y because they are know for guarding their chastity. But if they are with you just keep in mind their value would lower, because her marriage is invalid. Thus, being with her you were disrespecting her faith and what she stands for, that is not best relationship. If you are young and cocky even with mature age, you would let lust make you think the relationship was match made in heaven but in reality her violating her religion, and losing the level faith she had currently, having her commit fornication daily when she with you, is not best relationship. Never been to Bandung so I can't tell. But I think due to its proximity to Jakarta you will find English speaking women who are used to foreigners. A big plus is that there are less expats in Bandung.

Were Christian or Muslim women in the city likely to be more liberal in this? This would be for girlfriends and not freelancers.

Yes, definitely. Everything just happens a little more discreetly. If the woman wants to let things happen, then she will let it happen. You as a man of course need to take the lead and initiative. (The woman wants to be covered by "plausible deniability" if you understand what I mean)

This video is clearly NOT accurate.You not supposed date or go out a Muslim woman if you are non-Muslim period. Even her father permits it, its sin for both woman and her father to do this. I want to add some information about circumcision. In regard to be a good muslim, yes you have to be circumcised. So, if you convert to Islam, it should come from your heart first. Although you love your wanna be wife sincerely, still you should convert to Islam because of your heart wants to do that. It is better if you then read Quran and praying five times a day. At least, as a mualaf, you can start from there. Althouughhh...the muslim women will understand that you're still in a learning phase, then maybe you can't pray 5x a day or to do fasting 13 hours a day in Ramadan month. They will understand. Learning by doing. Starting from 1 or 2x praying a day, fasting 6 hours, etc. Fasting is also for health reason, it is like intermittent fasting but we muslims do that sincerely for good reasons in life (health, humanity, social interactions, and ibadah). Now, because you should do the praying activities and we hope your prayers can be accepted by Allah, yes you have to be circumcised. I mean it is the best version as a mualaf. Although, there are different opinions about it between Indonesia imams. Some of them saying it is okay for a mualaf not doing the circumcision first when they convert to Islam. They can do it later if they're ready (well, it is not included deliberately avoiding it, ya). Anyway, Islam suggest circumcision for the health reasons. The benefits are to reduce the risks of infectious sexual diseases such as HPV, syphillis, genital herpes, urinary tract infections, and few others. Semoga my explanation about sunat (circumcision) ini berguna (helpful) ya, Marcel. Oh, iya, Marcel. Thank you for explaining that Indonesia is NOT a muslim country, although we have the biggest muslim citizens. We have six religions and other beliefs.

Circumcision is a mutilation; Assuming that there is a "God" watching us from above,circumcision would be approved? That comes from human beings rules,not from God rules. Prayers? Why do you pray,because it makes you happy? That s an illusion. You pray because you were forced by your family since you were a little boy,if not,you are rejected by your family; Because of that,you practice sholat to make your family happy,not because you really are.Generation by generation,this is an endless loop where people are acting like robots with no awareness of they do. Fasting? In indonesia there is one the highest rate in Asia of death from ictus and heart attack,especially among women,around their 40s,due to insane life style (they lack of sleep because of sholat at 4am,unhealthy food (fried palm oil food everywhere,glutammate sodium noodles etc,abuse of coffee and tobacco); personally,i have seen a lot of muslim indo girls going out of their province wearing no hijab, mini skirt and sexy shirts,dating bule' and sharing sex one night stand,then,when it s time to gather with family and relatives on idul fitri,they back to their hometown wearing hijab,no make up,and turning to devotion (for a couple of days,only), after that,they throw the mask and back to their "western style" in Bali,Hong Kong,Singapore and so on. Can you explain this massive,bipolar behaviour, sir?

You’re right, it doesn’t really matter, because real religious convictions are personal and interior, and nobody, even clerks can witness what is happening within. Only God juges and it’s not debatable with strangers. I dated also a Muslim Indonesian woman and she was very intelligent, feminine and soft, superior wife material than any western girl I had met before. English is improving because of internet. Chinese are wealthier than Westerners now.

You need to treat them equally and if you can't do that, Qur'an tells you to marry only one. Islam limits polygamy, not instructs it. In fact, Qur'an is the only holy book that clearly states marry only one.

In Indonesia you can date or marry a Muslim woman easily and can get married within a certain period of time, for example just 3 months, it's called unregisterd marriage (nikah sirih) but not with a Christian woman because Christians really respect marriage as something sacred/sacral.

Have you dated inside of Indonesia? I am not saying that I have dated that specific woman that you can see on the thumbnail. The thumbnail was created for illustrative purposes and to demonstrate the contrast. There are heaps of Muslim girls in Indonesia who don't wear a hijab and they don't like it, believe me. I met them, I worked with them, I dated them, I spoke with them about it. They only wear it when they travel back to their home provinces, when they meet their families. Besides that, faith is an inner affair and subject matter first and foremost. Women who don't wear hijabs are not necessarily "worse" Muslims!

Another wrong data is about Christians in ID. The official data from the latest census (2020) is 10,49%. That means almost 30M Christians. This includes Catholics and Protestants. Orthodox Church was officially recognized in 1991, and they are counted under Protestants because they are tiny minority. Those data shows that there are more Christians in ID than ever in both absolute numbers and percentaget wise. Never in history of ID Christians broke 10%, and that was with Timor Leste. Islam is in the big decline in ID - number of Muslim marriages is in steep decline since 2018, divorce rates are constantly going up in the last 10 years, and Muslims have less and less children. Just look at gen Z Muslim females how they reject wearing tudong en masse. The main priority for more and more gen Z Muslim females is career.
