Great video, I met a lady from Surabaya via a friend who introduced us. We got chatting and got on so well. Well after meeting her I fell even more in love and we were married after a year. I agree that you should not poison their minds by bringing them back to the west but to go there. I don’t want her westernised! Western women have become more like men! I am currently looking for work in Indonesia in Bali or Surabaya and would love some advice on getting a job there as I can’t speak their language yet. Her English is embarrassingly amazing. So anyone out there who can help me with work and assist me with a work visa would be appreciated. I’m open to do anything :-)

Great share thanks bro...Im from usa & been living/ working in Indonesia 13 + yrs mainly Jakarta..Iv " dated" hundreds of Indonesian women.Most I met on online apps but don't do that anymore.I think the Indonesian women are some of the most beautiful, sweet,loyal ladies on the planet.. I actually went there for language school. I have not really learned much about interfaith marriage. Yes, dating is one thing, but with the right woman, marriage is a possibility. First half of May will visit K.L. for 4 days, then 6 days in Jakarta. Already planning another trip in July! By the way Nomad, how much do you ride your bicycle in Indonesia? The fourth break up was the final one. Singapore? Totally different ballgame! It is a so-called "developed" country. Inhabitants are mostly of Chinese descent, therefore everyone is money and business oriented. It actually sucks. It is not the usual Southeast Asia feeling you get elsewhere. Forget about the women. They have little interest in foreigners at most because most of the Singaporean girls are well off. And, Chinese girls stick to their Chinese boys. That's the rule. There are exceptions of course. But there are many Filipinas and Indonesian domestic helpers living and working in Singapore. Try them. They work, have limited time but are mostly good girls. Most of them want variety and relief.

All I can say is this: I have lived and worked in Indonesia for 4 years and have been visiting the country since 2010. During that time I have dated dozens of women, Christians and Muslims. I am still a free man. Long story short: you can date in Indonesia without any problems. You have to be aware of the dating dynamics though and know about local customs. Use your common sense. It's mainly the strict muslim women who are problematic. There's a term in Indonesian for them: "Tutup atas, buka bawah", or in other words "The top is closed but the bottom is open" in reference to their headgear and their relationship with sex. In countries like Indonesia or the Philippines it is common for the girl you date to bring a chaperone with her, normally her best friend, sometimes a sister or a cousin. This is for protection reasons and to make her feel more secure and comfortable. Also, the chaperone's opinion about you is asked for later. If your date is really into you and likes you then this (bringing a chaperone along) should stop already on your second date.

Well, bear in mind, there are also non-Muslim girls here, and importantly, it depends on each person. In big cities like Jakarta or famous places like Bali, it’s easy to meet someone who is okay with that, but if she comes from a family with a strong religious background (Muslim), generally the girls will run for the hills. All in all, it's just like in the west when you guys talk to religious Christian girls, some are okay with it, some are against it. Women in SEA are traditional and prefer one partner only. They are also jealous by nature which means that the women will not allow their men to have any girlfriends on the sides. (But many men cheat anyway). It is a bit different among the Muslim community. I had Muslim male colleagues who were married to two/three women at the same time.

Each organisation has its own way to practice Islam values in our daily life. The devoted one maybe will agree to marry a man who already has one or two wives, but not the modern Islam believers. We think not all men can be fair and treat the women equally with sincere intentions comparing to Mohammed The Prophet. Im Indonesian and i encourage you guys come and date our woman, we need more multiculturalism here. Most foreigner only come to visit Bali or Jakarta. But we have lot more beautiful places to visit. For girls, ill sugest you to visit Bandung/Bali/Jakarta. In the big cities people seems more open minded. But when you visit rural area its more conservative (religious). In fact, it also depends on whether the family agrees or not if they want to marry someone of a different faith, some families are open, some are strict about different faiths. Many people who are dating but have different religions will find it difficult to continue getting married, unless one of them changes beliefs. but quite a few also marry with different beliefs, again it depends on whether the family agrees or not.
