I Destroyed Spiders For 80 Hours To Unlock One Thing | Swamptopia #14

In episode #14 of Swamptopia, I waste my time buying plastic when I could have just bought computers. After 80 hours of grinding I STILL don't have oil. Or trains, or anything at all new. And though I am now on the last task of the space elevator, it will be quite some time before I'm able to fulfil its final requirements.
SWAMP ONLY RUN RULES:
• Cannot leave the swamp biome, according to the biome map.
• Can enter/exit caves from within the swamp, even if the cave extends beyond the swamp biome, as long as you do not exit the cave into another biome.
• Cannot use advanced game settings.
• Creature hostility must be left at default setting.
• Arachnophobia mode is not allowed.
• Cannot load a previous save unless the current save is corrupt.
• Cannot use any method to re-roll hard drives to obtain desired alternate recipe.
• Cannot interact with anything when travelling to the swamp at the start of the run, or if for any reason you respawn outside of the swamp.

Don't bash yourself for "not seeing the trees for the forest". I personally wouldn't even attempt what you are doing so...what you perhaps lack in "production awareness" you more than make it up in your courage and tenacity. 👍

Hey, If I may suggest. Have you considered mining and instantly SINKing Uranium? It does not give game changing amount of points, but that's still a lot considering the fact that unprocessed ore gives 35 points (according to wiki) for just 12MW (miner mk2) of power. It's normal uranium deposit, so it would mine 120 per minute * 35 per ore, which equals to 4200 points per minute passively gained for the cost of just 12MW. If you'd like to go even further and overclock the miner to 200% that would mean 8400 points for the cost of one biomass burner. I think that's a good deal, but it's your playthrough. In case you have forgot, the Uranium node is in big, radioactive, waterfall cave.

You are almost there bro... your 450 oil per minute is close.. just need that mini aluminum factory set up... also, hopefully, you will build the AI limiter factory to sink for points instead of wasting precious automated wiring.. I had a mini-stroke when you sank those lol... definitely the most valuable parts in the game since you need like 60,000 of them to finish the game.

The bitter aftertaste of this is: Because you spent so much time grinding for the plastic coupons to make the computers, those rubber coupons have become so much more expensive. Also, I support the idea of other commenters here to just use all your available power to passively dump *everything* you are manufacturing if it doesn't require coal.

In my 20's I was helping a friend to make stained glass windows. When we made a mistake or broke something and it was too time consuming to redo it we always came up with a "reason" why it is the way it is. The explanation at 4:35 is understandable and valid. I have no problems accepting this. 😆

Serisak has took a hard way, but if you want to save some time with coupons. 1) Do not spend them at the beginning for unnecessary stuff 😉 2) When you unlock computers, buy them and sink them! Repeat till you see that coupon cost is around 120,000 3) Spend coupons earned to buy ingredient to unlock Supercomputer 4) Buy Supercomputers and sink them! Repeat until you get a price of coupon around 600,000 You should have around 100+ coupons by doing that.

I don't know how long you spend in-between filming these and then putting them on KZbin....but I have a suggestion, if you are amenable to it. Host a fan/subscriber/follower poll each week: take a single ISC and put it near the HUB, with signs on it to indicate it is your community help container. If you have a trusted friend who can take your latest save file and then edit that file ONLY to fill the container with random sinkable items, let the poll decide what goes in there. You could even set a subscriber goal or something, to enable the trusted friend to edit that specific container so you don't know what is in it, then when you begin to make the next video, you get to find out how many coupons you can make from the container, and from there, figure out the best way to use them. I'm not talking about sinking an ISC full of Supercomputers or Space Elevator parts....just something that can be used to boost your awesome series a little. Sidenote: I would personally not encourage that friend to put obscene amounts of items in this mythical container by using the editor and adding in millions of things. Just 48 different stacks of stuff that can be sunk. I know you have a tendancy to do things that many others might cringe at or you over complicate things. Nothing wrong with that. Make it a bit interesting! You set the rules of your challenge, and you can choose to try this idea if you want. If you read this comment and decide not to go through with it, that is fine. As one of my Facebook comments on a Satisfactory group page said, 'if it isn't fun anymore, do something different, or its just a job'.

I might be wrong here but the previous problem with the hard drives are easy to solve. Next time, if you dont like the recepie, you can just press escape and it refills your inventory with one hard drive that you used to research. It works for me on the server but maybe not on the client it self. However it is worth to try

so, my knowledge of satisfactory is exclusively from watching KZbin videos like yours. But could you set up a power switch at your generators to supply a factory making whatever the most complicated recipe you have at this point of the game is? So whenever you walk away from the game, go to work, go to bed, etc. you throw the switch, it powers down the rest of your factory & powers up a factory that just sends everything to an Awesome Sink?

Come up with some average times for a farming run. Then if you can beat the average by a good amount give yourself bonus coupons. Will be more engaging for you, and speed up the process in more ways than one. These are your rules anyways so make up ones to address the pacing imo. Maybe more coupons for setting a new record on time.
