There's something poetic about a carnivore dieter finding a way to incorporate rice into their health goals. Nice work!

I agree with you! I'm 64. I changed my watch goals to 15000 steps, 150 active minutes, 20 each "counter pushups", squats, and 30 lb kettlebell. The discipline has been great, as you said ... and so have the results! My legs and arms are so much stronger. I can fling my cast iron skillet and get up off the floor much more easily. Keep up the good work!! Pressing the "start" button is the hardest part 💞. Great job!

Pea gravel is cheap and heavy, and it doesn't hurt like big rocks or bricks.
@CarnivorousChef10 ай бұрын
I wouldn't have thought of that in 10 years
@pumpkin6770410 ай бұрын
@@CarnivorousChef I bought 50 lbs of pea gravel for less than 10 dollars about a year ago and put it inside a couple of garbage bags and then inside the duffel. I got the idea when I got mad at Planet Fitness for having shortened hours after the covid stuff, and canceled my membership after about 8 years. I watched some videos on making your own gym equipment.

Kelly Hogan recently talked about a study that says we can literally “grow” the front portion of our brain which gives us fortitude to do things when we do things we don’t want to do… It is pretty amazing!
@CarnivorousChef10 ай бұрын
Yeah, she probably heard that from an Andrew Huberman episode where he was talking to David Goggins. Essentially that area of our brain grows whenever we do something we don't like and atrophies when we are too comfortable
@briansmith212510 ай бұрын
What about just wearing it while you work? The added bonus is that people have to move way far around you in the kitchen when you're wearing it. Two birds, one stone.

Hey man, great job sticking to it! How do you like rucking? Do you think you'll stick with it? If you do plan on doing so, I highly encourage you to look at getting a rucksack built specifically for rucking. A purpose built rucksack will allow you to keep the weight higher, and tighter to your back, which is much more comfortable over longer durations, and will help keep your posture in a correct position. I got a GoRuck bag a little over a year ago because I wanted a way to train for SAR without having to carry my 24 hour pack, which always starts conversations (which are nice, but I'm trying to keep moving!), and is also ridiculously big. I know that there are other rucksack makers out there, GoRuck is just the one I went with. Anyway, thanks for the video!

I've actually thought about doing this, but I didn't know what it was called or even that it's actually a thing. 🤯 I'm gonna try to do it when the weather warms up. I'm planning on hiking this summer anyway so adding weights to my bug out bag and wearing it while hiking might be a good idea 💡

@adebolaadeola3 ай бұрын
@@CarnivorousChef Wow! I live in Nigeria and there is sand everywhere. All types of sand - beach sand, regular dirt sand, soil, etc, and except I'm taking construction-load quantities, no one cares. It would never have occured to me that there's a restriction on sand. Rice packs is a good alternative though, and you hit your goal and that's what matters. Go you!
