I was doing really well with the dame, X-ray machine (item), and archeologist. Then I got suns and a flower but I never landed the flower bc I was only landing rare bc of my lucky cats. I finally broke the game with suns, flowers and flower multipliers.

Taking items that make things common when you have symbols that boost your chances of finding uncommon, rare, and very rare items will mean you find less common items overall, like the flower. This also applies to items that are made common instead of uncommon, like the raindrop. If you want more common items instead, add more symbols of tedium. This can potentially help you shape which symbols you can get, which should help more often now that the game has introduced re-roll and removal items. (And also nerfed the telescope and the protractor.)

I don’t know if you read this from other comments, but the blanks are actual items, not just the absence of items. When your wheel is blank even when you have 20 symbols, that’s just because you got unlucky with the blanks. That also means that the devils deal isn’t a reset, it just makes getting blanks a lot more common and getting money making symbols a lot less common. Edit: Just learned that while they are actual items, one goes away for every symbol you get.

What I found that works in this game is if you take every suit of cards that you get given, and then pray that you get the 2 items that double the coin output of the suits. Aswell as joker which will then double whatever the suits give, and if you get really lucky you can get card shark which will then again double what the suits give, so you could be looking at like ~500 coins per spin.

it's not that the devil's deal removes symbols, it makes it significantly harder to get symbols because it adds a ton of blank symbols to your symbol count, so if you can't pay rent and need to use it then it's game over anyways.
