Rather than just selecting matches at random, a good idea and one I use frequently is just have a look at how the game is progressing and how lively it is i.e. look at how many shots at goal, how many goal kicks, how many corners, whether one team is dominating etc. Also just choose matches from well known high scoring leagues such as the Bundesleague, Australian leagues, Baltic State leagues.

more profitable to back over 1.5 first half goals? personally i do over 1.5 split stakes. I pick matches with 1.36+ start odds and get in at 1.5 and at 50 mins. if no goal i trade out at 70 and if 5+ sot in first half i will back a late goal to scratch trade. important to visually watch all games

I have good success with this market ..but watching match is key ...and discipline...not just doing any old match .. mainly ones with big scoring home favourites I put 25% in ...at 1.40, 2.10 3.10, 5.10
