Instead of paying eBay 18% for promoted listings, and having your buyers pay that extra amount, you could offer your buyers a cheaper price, that way when buyers filter by lowest price, you’re on top and offering your buyers a better deal. That’s a huge win for your valuable customers and puts you in favour with them and you’re no worse off. Repeat business. Just a thought.

Yes this is what I used to do. Deeper discounts however over the past year it just hasn’t worked.. with millions of clothing sellers price isn’t enough to move to the top. I’ve done many videos starting last fall with my promoted listing strategies as I’ve tried them.

Hi Sarah I have sold on eBay for 20 years and all the sudden I am not selling any of my listings. I take good pics, etc. I do feel my eBay items are not being seen. I haven’t promoted any of my items due to the fact of people saying it doesn’t help and also the fees. I watched one of your videos on promoting and your fees were up. I am kind of lost about the promoting but thinking maybe I should try it. Do you think promoting just a couple items is ok? I am kind of totally confused this the promoting thing. The items I want to promote is vintage games systems but it doesn’t seem highly saturated on eBay so just not sure what to do and not sure why my views are so down. I wouldn’t listen to anyone.. myself included. Best way to know if do a/b testing to see for you. Yes it will increase fees but I’d rather pay 20% and make 80% then pay 0% and make 0%. Market is saturated if you items aren’t seen no one can buy them no matter how good your seo, photos, prices etc is

I’ve been slowly increasing sales With electronics. But I have a bunch of old books I’m trying to get rid of and considered charging shipping flat rate between $1.49 to 4.99, but offer free shipping if they buy 4 or more because shipping is so expensive and there are so many other bigger sellers that are under cutting the value of some books and selling them at a loss if you calculate the eBay and shipping costs. I’m mainly been using promotions to increase sales, and trying to list daily and selling in bulk to get by. It’s hard but aiming to push through and make it until things turn up again. Hopefully with the summer coming around people will maybe want to do early Christmas shopping in July and it will increase sales.

I end, then wait 3-5 days or even a week, then sell similar. I never end then immediately sell similar. Not saying it works or not, but that's what I do.

Great ideas, simple ideas most don’t do them The more money I pay to eBay or Etsy the more money I made - stop complaining about the platform that allows you to make money Lowering the price makes your item look cheap Promoted listing is having your item on sale and Shown on first page Sell similar is good ‘trick’ but listing 1 item a day a new listing everyday is better because this one habit will make you successful if do it

Also 12.9% fees on shipping and taxes so much higher than 30%.

By my calculations, you should work only 2.5 hours a week so you can be up 70%.

DailyRefinement KZbin channel says sellers have been getting shadow banned and sent less traffic when they do delist relist. I wonder what the truth is because you say otherwise…

Yea not sure. All I know is I’ve never been told this directly from them. And my traffic and sales say different. Doesn’t mean it’s not true and couldn’t happen yo me. Or isn’t. I highly respect Chris, I’ve worked with him and he’s a big part of why I am where I am. Do I would definitely take both into consideration and do some testing for yourself! Keep me posted

Daily refinement’s video about delist/sell similar suggested it’s beneficial to do it if you are changing the listing in some shape or form to make it better ie lowering the price, adding more/better pics, improving the title etc.

@@livingroomcomputer7148 what good are watchers if they’re just watching? I can tell you at first it was slow for me but doing this has kept my sales going without me listing. I do have over 8k listings so plenty to pick from I think that helps. Also, keep in mind people aren’t spending as much currently.
