Hey Star Wars theory You are not alone. I have something that I want to share with you. I have experienced something similar when I got one of my eyes dilated once but here’s a question for you. Do you feel like something is in your eye that might be going around and around in a circle tracing your eye over and over do you feel like one of your eyes is doing a continuous buffering, feel like your eye is like a loading screen just buffering and buffering. If you get a similar feeling like that, you are not alone I have gotten one of my eyes dilated once before and I had a feeling like that and I could open my eyes for 24 hours, I’m not kidding. That’s how I felt so I hope your eye is OK and I hope you can get it fixed ASAP. You are one of my favorite Star Wars KZbinrs. I hope your eye feels better me your fan 1:58

Dude if your retna is detached, you're going to get surgery. And THEN you'll have to spend a week laying on your back and side. It's torture. 23 hours a day laying in a specific position. People that don't do it exactly as they're instructed lose their eyesight. It's extremely annoying. Do NOT think for a second you can work around that. You'll need to restrict work to phonecalls only. No staring at screens. Or you lose the eye. Stay strong. And lower your stress to the minimum. Get better and THEN get back to work bro ❤

Hey Theory. I was diagnosed with retinoschisis last year. Similar to detachment, but the retina is also splitting apart. It is scary as heck, because it can lead to permanent vision loss very easily. I have a "floater" in my right eye that will never go away. Keep strong and get it taken care of ASAP. I hope it goes well for you and you are better soon. Keep doing what you do. No worries Theory. It happened to me about 12 years ago. I woke up to find this dark brown semicircle on the edge of my vision that looked like someone put out a cigarette in my eye. If you go for the surgery (and I do recommend it), it's a pretty simple procedure. They inject gas in your retina to expand it and use a freezing technique to seal the rip. If they do the same thing that I had, they may install a surgical buckle (basically a band around the retina) to prevent further tears in the future. They can additionally elect to use a laser if you have anything that might look unstable. After the surgery, I had three days of discomfort from the gas and I did need to wear an eye patch. There is also a series of antibiotics you need to take for about two weeks, and they will give you painkillers. I didn't even use them, so maybe you wouldn't either. As for what happened afterward, it did change the shape of my retina, which altered my prescription, but that's about it. Best of luck to you, brother, I'm sure you'll be fine.

Good that you're getting it taken care of and not putting it off. I did a quick google search on detach retinas and one of the symptoms is "sudden of appearance of floaters". I've had floaters appear for the first time a few months ago.. I'm definitely getting my eyes checked now. Good luck with your procedure.

Detached retina happened to a friend of mine. It was a minor procedure to fix but takes a little time to heal up. So you may be doing more audio and less video work to give that part of you time to rest/mend. Take care of yourself. Your loyal fans are standing by. 👍

I am currently recovering from a surgery to repair and reattach a torn and partially detached retina in my right eye. We all recover and heal differently for countless reasons, so it’s safe to assume your experience will be different than mine. That said, here’s my unsolicited advice if you end up having surgery: Truly take it easy. Give yourself to the healing process 100%. Ask for help and readily receive it huge gratitude and no apologies. It would be unfortunate if you have to delay anything you’ve been working on, but give yourself every chance to glean every ounce of healing out of your recovery time even if things need to be put on hold. You’re a smart man and I’m sure you’ll figure a way to avoid the stress and heal-up. Also trust your followers not to abandon you during this very necessary break.

I had both my retina's detach in 2005. I needed surgery back then and everything went well. Recovery with surgery back then was 6-8 weeks. Praying for you, should be a breeze!!

It normally occurs in people with short sightedness or astigmatism. I've had two of them - one a giant detachment with a big black curtain of blackness creeping up my eye. Scary! Had surgery on both - one general and one local anaesthetic. Recovery position depends on exactly where the detachment occurred and whether they fill your eye with oil or gas post op (tip: go for gas!), so I had to spend two weeks lying on my stomach with small breaks every now and then for one of the eyes - it's all worth it though. No word of a lie, but I used my recovery position to listen to my ENTIRE star wars audiobook collection - and I pretty much have them all! Hope it goes well 👍
