Don’t worry, there are definitely free ways to learn out there... you just have to look. No way I’m paying for knowledge
@evolveartist3 жыл бұрын
Hey Didi 🙂I hear you, the Evolve program is certainly an investment, and we wish that we could make our program even more affordable than it already is. I'd encourage you to take a moment and consider this as a potential investment in your growth as an artist, looking at value, price, and time... First, what does the program offer? We provide the shortest path to gaining the skills necessary to create art without limitations, and we do that starting with the fundamentals of art making, which results in being able to make highly realistic paintings (which is the most objective standard to measure results). In order to achieve this, in addition to the educational videos, we send our students all the art supplies, provide personal, constructive feedback on each assignment, host weekly live classes, have one-on-one meetings with our students about their work or even career goals, all from the comfort of your home... your personal guides to your growth as an artist. Most other courses of this caliber take 4-5 years and require scholarships or debt... and don't have a money-back results guarantee (like we do). Comparing Evolve's program to acquiring only the knowledge aspect of an education on the internet is like comparing apples to oranges. So now let's talk about price. The Foundation Program has two payment options. The first option is a one-time payment of $2k. The second is a payment plan of $199 per month for 12 months - this is a payment plan, not a subscription. What this means is that the payments stop after the 12th payment (on the 12th month), while you continue to be a member, work at your own pace (fast or slow) and have access for life. It is important to us that we are not a paid subscription because we do not want to be incentivized to keep our students dependent on us; rather, our goal in providing a true education is to prepare our students to stand on their own, with confidence in their own abilities that produce real results. So, as it currently stands, $199/month for 12 months (or $2k up front) is the investment - being able to create incredibly realistic paintings is the return on investment. And we have a money-back results guarantee, which you can read about on our website. Now let's take a look at the price as it pertains to time, your most valuable asset. Based on our student averages, if you can put in about 7 hours a week into our program, you will be producing highly realistic paintings in 1 year. Rounding up, that's a $6 per hour education. (College is $500 per hour for 18 credits at $50k/year). Factor in all the art supplies we send you (included free with the tuition, worth $1k) and you are looking at a $3 per hour investment for a streamlined education where you are guided every single step of the way on the most efficient path to creating the art you have always dreamed of making. In a 4-year program where you would usually pay for 18 credits, you are looking at 18credits x 3hours x 14weeks x 8semesters as a 6,048 hour investment. Our program, whether you complete it in a few months or a few years at the pace that suits you, is a 364 hour investment (7hours x 52weeks). Imagine spending the remaining 5,684 hours on making art you are truly proud of. Another way to look at it - how many paintings you would need to sell to break even on Evolve's course? Selling 10 photorealistic paintings at the end of our program for $200 each would be a steal 🤔 That all being said, I do recognize that the price for Evolve is simply not manageable for everyone, nor is the program a good fit for every artist. But hopefully this gives you a clear idea of how Evolve is an investment that reaps massive rewards, particularly for those who are very serious about developing their skill as an artist. Let me know if you have any questions 😊~ Daniel

@@evolveartist Oh my, wasn't expecting to have an answer from you here, but I'm glad I did. Apparently I understood the payment wrong, it's 199$ per YEAR instead per MONTH right? That makes it more accessible than I thought. Even if it was 199$ per month it would still be more accessible than many online courses out there but still out of my budget. The only thing I didn't fully understand is: if I pay the 199$ per year but didn't complete the course, I still have access to it? I still can watch the classes, talk with the teachers etc? Or another payment would necessary? Also I would like to say I love the fact you provide the art supplies for your students so they don't feel overwhelmed with having to buy the art supplies to get started
@evolveartist3 жыл бұрын
@@didi7074 to clarify, it is $199 per month, not per year. So, the Foundation Program is a payment plan of $199 per month for 12 months (no more payments after the 12th payment on the 12th month - again, it's not a subscription), OR you can decide to pay for the program up front for $2k. I'll revise my above comment to make sure that it's more clear. But yes, the program is designed for you to go at your own pace, and you would be a member for life. Regardless of whether you finish the program in half a year, or in 2 years, the $199 would be paid each month for those first 12 months and then stop (the payment plan doesn't change based on your pace through the program). If you finished the payments but had not yet completed the education, you would still be a student and have access and be able to watch the videos, talk with the teachers, complete each assignment and get feedback, jump in on live classes, everything. Let me know if you have any questions about this - I want to make sure that I'm communicating this clearly 😊 And yes I love that too! It’s important to us that our students have good quality materials to make sure that they don’t hold our students back from getting the results we promise. Imagine signing up for a professional program like this and trying to do the assignments after having to do your own research and buy cheap paint and brushes from your local craft store 😱 You would be struggling to do the assignments and we wouldn’t even know that the tools you were using were seriously crippling your ability to make crispy clean edges or butter smooth gradients 😭 So naturally, we would want our students to all have the same, quality materials that we know and use ourselves. But rather than simply giving people a list of things to buy separately from the program, we quickly discovered that we could supply these materials to our students, and provide them to our students at a much cheaper cost than our students would have to pay individually, (because we can buy at a bulk discount), and the student doesn’t have to worry about what to get or try to calculate all these things. They simply join the program with one purchase or payment plan and then the materials show up at their door, anywhere in the world. 😁

@kla6313 жыл бұрын
I know I'm late but I just came across this video and I am intrigued. I read through the comments and noticed people complained about the price. Considering Old Holland paints cost $28.25 per 1.35 oz tubes and up the bigger the tube more money it costs, plus the other top notch materials plus the time the artist put into designing the course--blood sweat and tears-- plus all the other intricacies including postage to get it to you, the website and those fees and everything else, not forgetting the time and attention to help you be successful, I'd the tuition, price, fee is pretty reasonable.

He truly breaks art down until a fool-proof method -- everyone that dedicated the time succeeded. The Evolve program seems great. My mom actually runs one of his second schools now in Hunterton county NJ. Super great instruction. Worth every Penny -- especially considering you get HD video instruction and personalized feedback for every submission. (Side note -- love Piper! I took one of Kevin's summer programs with her 🥰). 3 months late on this and all, but I will say to anyone on the fence about this because of the price alone, 2388 (or 2000 paid up front) is typical if not a little cheaper than ONE college course for a semester. This is more content than just what is crammed in a semester/10 week course depending on your university's system. I go to a research institute with little funding for art courses, a painting class here would be 1300 for residents or 3000 for non residents. Such a class for me would require prerequisite courses to take (so another sum of money there depending on the credit hours/point system) before I could even touch the main oil painting studio class, has the disadvantage of being on a time crunch, and I would still have to purchase my own supplies and textbooks which would also add to that cost. I haven't even included the department fee for taking a class in a respective department on campus, college racks up a lot of little fees here and there, but it's to help fund the respective department for smaller things! So what I'm saying is, college is a LOT, and some people may not have access to higher education and public classes offered locally may not quite hit it as this class seems to do! While I certainly don't have the time nor money to spend on such a course right now myself, I definitely see high value in such a course and I hope you all consider it in that light! I hope to take the course one day as oil painting has always been intimidating to me, and this may be the proper structure I need to finally overcome my hurdles!
@skeletonboxers73363 жыл бұрын
okay i deeply scoured the site and realize they KINDA touch upon the comparison to a fine arts education in the FAQ and my comment just goes more in depth on that haha. art and design schools are usually for profit institutions because they dont receive as much funding as state funded universities because the government has such a focus for STEM related fields. so its a huge blow to your budget to even receive such an education.
