I think it's really goddamn funny that most modern Nintendo games have one or two random horror segments. It's never anything truly scarring or scary, but its so incredibly jarring compared to the rest of the game that you can't help but remember it. For example, most of Splatoon is super fun, light hearted, and frankly adorable. Then theres just the occasional segments of odd content, such as the Blender / Sanitization In General of Octo Expansion, or the environment of Big Run in general. Or, for an older example, the infamous Piano of Super Mario 64. Again, while not usually comparable to true horror, the jarring nature of this content will never not be memorable, and frankly, absolutely hilarious.

Little bit of help for Lightroots in the Depths, RT. They copy the exact same placement of Shrines (on ther surface only), aka they are right underneath them. So if you have a Shrine but no Lightroot or vice versa, just hover over the thing you have, change to the other layer, and mark it. Also, yes, Zelda stole Link's house and threw out all of his shi(youtube). Edit: apparently he already knew about the Lightroot thing, so... I don't (youtube)ing know.

In contrast, my first encounter with him was really funny. I found the room in Hyrule Castle Lockup where the Stalnox and Hylian Shield were in BotW, but I approached from the door instead of blowing it open from above. The hands still spawned and unlike my previous encounter with them they weren't despawning despite being stuck on the other side of the door. So after blowing them up with a ton of Bomb Arrows, suddenly Phantom Ganon shows up and snipes me through the gate, one shotting me.

On the journey to get his sweater back from his girlfriend, Link found a secret tunnel, Soldier's armour set fought a Stalnox, a Phantom Gannon and his own though about doing Shrine puzzles and got the Hylian Sheild. Upon getting his sweater back he found good weapons and shields, the Bow used by a pervious incarnation of the Princess, and a Korok. Then he did the Shrine puzzles and then descended underground. Funny as Koga is I can’t help but admire his tenacity. The man survived the fall in the hideout pit WITH NO GLIDER and a huge iron ball seconds away from flattening him and then survives The Depths which are pretty much devoid of any proper food and full to the brim with Gloom and Gloom-Touched Monsters and yet still he manages to get his troops established down there to dig for ancient Zonai Tech. Screw a dog, man’s got that cockroach in him. And I’m sure that by going Bear Grills in The Depths he was doing his salty ass ancestors proud. XD

1:26 Classic Dan, no comment on the classic hair. 10:27 While I'd encountered a few Gloom Hands before, the first time I killed one and faced Phantom Ganon was the one under the Great Deku Tree. 14:29 I don't know if I was missing something, but this isn't fun to do the way the developer's intended. IMO it looks like the intent is for you to create a scoop on the wheel to collect the balls as it rotates, and then dump it into the chute at the top. Problem is that in order to prevent flying machines like the first game, Ultra Hand builds can't really lift up loose items put on top of them (at least, not as well as you'd expect.) You can build a bucket/scoop, but it will just get caught on all the balls and break instead of picking any of them up. You gotta glue the ball to the basket, rotate the basket to the top, and then wiggle the ball out with Ultrahand. Kinda annoying. 24:55 I didn't find the Central Mine through guessing and exploring the Depths, nor the intended following the statues. I went to the Great Plateau very early on in my playthrough and tested the Chasms out. I'm pretty sure I found Kohga before any of the Temples, but decided to just take Autobuild and abandon him 'cause I didn't want increased Yiga spawns like the first game. By the time I actually took him on I had warps all over the depths to basically all his fights sans the one under Rito village. 40:58 About my reaction when I learned they were in the Depths too 48:40 Ran into a lot of annoyance at this quest. I managed to get the fireflies and turn them in just fine, but after waiting for sunset the second I told the girl to follow me it started raining and she ran back to the stable and refused to follow me anymore. I think it was even raining the next time I came back or something crazy like that. RT did a lot better with his first Gleeok fight than I did, and I looked up tips and had more hearts!

this game is a never ending loop of getting distracted by side quest after side quest until you eventually remember that you had an objective you wanted to complete but now you're on the other side of the map so you no longer see a point in doing it. I've actually had moments where i literally get annoyed at the game for putting something in front of me that diverts my attention away from the objective i had planned and despite how i make it sound, that is not a negative. the number of things you can do in this game is astonishing
